Cocteau Twins - Those Eyes That Mouth Lyrics

Let me, let me, tell more mouth
Bold eyes
Oh no no no don't don't don't

Will they let me tell more mouth
Bold eyes
Oh no no don't don't don't don't

Yes I'm in love
Yes I'm in love
And afraid to see you
Til the next one
Yes I'm in love
Yes I'm in love
And afraid to see you
Your wrath

Do we deny then
Worth we have yet had chorus
Desperate gender
No
Are we united
worth we have yet had
Desperate angel
No

Are we agreed
Now we are free
To the feelings we should have
They've all gone dancing
Now we agree
Now we are we
And the feelings we should have
They've all gone dancing

Will they let me tell more mouth
Bold eyes
Oh no no don't don't don't don't

Feels
Now we are angels
Excellent deal
Soon all of it falls

Feels
Now we are angels
Excellent deal
Soon all of it falls

my fav group, glorious and unworldly

  2. S.... K....

There was a time when I was lonely and addicted to CT and their songs made me cry.
Then I fell in love and then love left me.
Now their songs make me so happy I could die.
If I ever choose to leave this mortal coil this will be the music that will be playing behind me.

  3. K.... B....

    benzotune

  4. D.... D....

I really like reading the comments here and seeing the collective praise everyone has for this song and band.

  5. S.... ....

This song makes me feel like the world is falling apart in front of my eyes but I don't care at all, I keep reading my grandma's diary of adventures about the things she did to stop the world from ending.

  6. E.... N....

    Heaven..

  7. 2.... ....

The background noise has a secret

  8. J.... R....

    Let’s not, let’s not
    Tell mum, dumb, bald
    Lies for long gone ago
    No, no, don’t

    We’ll not, let’s not
    Tell mum, dumb, bald
    Lies quite long gone ago
    No, no, don’t

    Yes, I’m in love
    Yes, I’m in love
And I still let them see moths
    Better that I have grown

    Yes, I’m in love
    Yes, I’m in love
And I still let them see moths
    Yet that I don’t know

Do we deny them (will we not hurt)
Would we have meant them (told mum, dumb, bald lies)
History’s been done (all a rainy day ago)
    No (then sighed, sighed)

How do you know them (will we not hurt)
Words we have not said (told mum, dumb, bald lies)
History’s been done (all a rainy day ago)
    Y’know (then sighed, sighed)

    Now we agree
    That now we are free
But I still let you see moths
    They’ve all gone dancing

    Now we agree
    That now we are we
But I still let you see moths
    They’ve all gone dancing

    Do we deny them
    Would we have meant them
    History’s been done
    No

    Shall we deny them
    Would we have meant them
    History’s been done
    Oh

    Seashells
    Now we are eggshells
    That’s how I feel
    Soon all of it falls

    Seashells
    Now we are eggshells
    That’s how I feel
    Soon all of it falls

    Seashells
    Now we are eggshells
    That’s how I feel
    Soon all of it falls

    Seashells
    Now we are eggshells
    That’s how I feel
    Soon all of it falls

This song picks you up and carries you away to a tantalizing place.

  10. D.... D....

I love this band so much ! Thank you

  11. T.... E....

The song should be sent in a space probe out into space. If a more advanced race found it? They would believe in us forever more and give a chance to continue to evolve, as this song is ABSOLUTELY ASTOUNDING. And beyond uplifting. It shows the full potential of the human race. Thank you Cocteau Twins. Elizabeth - we LOVE you.

  12. T.... E....

    STAGGERING BEAUTY.

The problem with the CT is that so many of their songs are their best one.

they had an early phase rather goth like much of thieir 4ad labelmates , and their middle phase concludes with this, the collaboration with harold budd and the duo record Victorialand. in last phase bluebell knoll till their end, they were masters.

Such an amazing song that showcases Elizabeth's vocal creativity. She moves effortlessly from angelic highs to Siouxsie-like wails, thus inciting a whole range of emotional responses.

  36. M.... M....

    Chorus of bliss.

  37. A.... M....

Blooming late in me, this song, that voice.

  38. L.... ....

Bought this tape 20+ years ago...was supposed to be working, went to the mall instead and found this 'import'. Count that as one of the best decisions I ever made.

    L.... ....

Did you get the CD with Orange Appled on it? Either way this is my favorite CT EP. I really enjoy myself when I listen to these tracks.

    L.... ....

yeah, bought Treasure on cassette and bought this EP record... listened to Treasure on the way home and was mesmerized like I'd heard it before yet knew that was impossible since it was so unique and indecipherable. Listened to this EP when I got home and put it on my turntable, blown away... the arpeggio she sings at the end is like things I naturally played since I was a child... almost the same exact phrase of a guitar lick I did/do.

  39. R.... G....

Why would not anyone know anything about this tune ?
Perhaps no one likes it.......that is rediculous .
Or perhaps the majority of the public have not heard it .
    It is a beautiful song

    R.... G....

What's your metric for determining that "not anyone know(s) anything about this tune"? Certainly the number of "views" on this particular YouTube version is hardly definitive.

    R.... G....

curt spins well sir if u think about it 9 thousand is ostensibly 3 high schools with 3 thousand student capacity , posted a year ago , in a world of seven billion I'd say it's relatively low key but hey 🎸 jam on im not a mathematician

    R.... G....

True statement, Luca; HOWEVER, The Cocteau Twins are based on a cult-following audience. As per jazz or Classical, music like this would NEVER be allowed on the radio. The internet age has opened up more venues for more challenging music such as this, but we, at the moment, you and I, still remain a decisive Cult. Come join us, you Stately Other. @curt spins

    R.... G....

Truly one of the best Cocteau Twins songs. I thank god I had the desire as a kid to be so into music and have GOOD TASTE in music (if I may be so bold 😁). Most people I meet don’t even know how to find stuff like Cocteau Twins and so just think whatever is top 20 is the best it gets. CAN YOU IMAGINE?!

    R.... G....

@Frank Montoya actually this song in particular was played on college radio stations across the country as they were the early fm format for what later became alternative rock radio. KUNV fm in Las Vegas played this song often!
