Cocteau Twins - Perhaps Some Other Aeon Lyrics

Perhaps some other animal
Perhaps some other aeon

Perhaps some other animal
Perhaps some other aeon

A change of head in hole
Oh well, if he shaves his headdress

Perhaps some other animal
Perhaps some other aeon

Perhaps some other animal
Perhaps some other aeon

Perhaps some other animal
Perhaps some other aeon

I was near when you died at birth
I was near when you were born in death
I've felt the faces within you
It is a more sacred sin then on this list
And on the way there

Perhaps some other animal
Perhaps some other aeon

Perhaps some other animal
Perhaps some other aeon

Cocteau Twins Perhaps Some Other Aeon Comments
  1. C.... S....

Sweet motions and notions; an insight into their early development as a Post-Punk/Folk band.

  2. 9.... ....

    Pure inspiration.

  3. T.... ....

    That's right, Z E R O dislikes!!! Flawless...

  4. G.... ....

Really this is one of the most moving Cocteau tracks - because the words are mostly audible and we all know what it's explicitly about - and what it symbolises...

Sadly this is one of the rare tracks (q.v: Crushed, High Monkey Monk) that are no longer available on CD now that Robin Guthrie has reorganised the catalog to give customers less value for money, pretending he can rewrite history and devalue the "rarities" (shades of David Bowie's reissues...grrrr!)

  5. k.... ....

engulfed in the wreckage of a washed-up restaurant worker I could not begin to change my artistic view toward the lens of a therapist with an artistic approach thru the holistic maze of indecisiveness without the drone of the siren sweetly guiding my demise...thank you Elizabeth ive always loved you!

  6. e.... P....

  12. c.... ....

I've always thought of this song being the account of the mother looking down at her newly-stillborn child.
I was near, when you died at birth
I was near, when you were born in death

Perhaps we'll meet in some other aeon...

    c.... ....
