A most legendary band for those who’ve been blessed enough to have been exposed to them. I feel sorry for today’s youth, and the absolute garbage that is “popular” to their generation.

777pusher lets be honest I feel sorry for most of the youth of the Cocteau’s generation as well: this band is largely unknown even by those that could have and should have known them when they were making all this great music. The cocteaus were never “popular” by the standards of mainstream commercial music, even at the height of their mainstream popularity towards the end they were not a household name nor all that popular with the average music listener. They are an acquired taste and a mostly hidden gem, and I’m just glad I wasn’t one of the clueless masses that has never given them their due.

Softlightsymphony [test vid] - very well put!! I graduated 86 (Cure, Depeche, etc...). First month out of Navy boot camp, I bought BBKnoll, on a whim. It literally changed me!! I didn’t recognize or even accept it for just over a year, when HorLV was released. It all came together, for me, at that time! The last two albums were but mere teasing!!!

This isn't one of the Cocteau songs that get played in goth clubs, but for some reason this video reminded me of when I used to go to the Elektrowerks etc...because there were only two types of people on the dancefloor. Those like myself who did the usual drunk-person dance with added over-acting-of-the-lyrics, and those others who didn't just move gracefully but really looked like ballet dancers.

my favourite cocteau track of all time ,bliss to listen to and liz the vocals spot on again,wish other people would listen,instead of listening to the junk thats out there,should have been absolute superstars, but the people seem to go for pap and blandness etc westlife the worst of a bad bunch who just sing for money and will unashamedly sing other peoples songs badly talk about sellouts, the cocteaus never did thats why ive always loved them and this song just a b side talk about brilliant.
