Cocteau Twins - Amelia Lyrics

Who've been wounded, who should wound her
Heart on the grasp
Who but who put on the heart, heart, heart, heart
Who've been wounded, who should wound her
Heart on the grasp, heart on the grasp
Who but who put on the heart, heart, heart, heart
Who've been wounded, who should wound her
Heart on the grasp, heart on the grasp
Who but who put on the heart, heart, heart, heart

Ba ba ba dadada
Ba ba ba dadada
Ba ba ba dadada
Ba ba ba dadada
Ba ba ba dadada
Ba ba ba dadada da
Ah
Ah

Who've been wounded, who should wound her
Heart on the grasp
Who but who put on the heart, heart, heart, heart
Who've been wounded, who should wound her
Heart on the grasp
Ba dada da, ba dada da
Who but who put on the heart, heart, heart, heart
Who've been wounded, who should wound her
Heart on the grasp
Ba dada da, ba dada da
Who but who put on the heart, heart, heart, heart

Who've been wounded, who should wound her
Heart on the grasp
Who but who put on the heart, heart, heart, heart
Who've been wounded, who should wound her
Heart on the grasp
Ba dada da, ba dada da
Who but who put on the heart, heart, heart, heart
Who've been wounded, who should wound her
Heart on the grasp
Ba dada da, ba dada da
Who but who put on the heart, heart, heart, heart

"Remain wary of the frailty of men. Their wills are weak, minds young."
    -Vicar Amelia

Upon further examination, this might be in my top five albums of all time

  3. e.... ....

This is the main motif of the Merry Widow Waltz by Franz Lehár.

  4. I.... M....

    1:05 - 1:37 demons are coming.

  5. E.... R....

    Rewelacja 😎

  6. Z.... J....

At 1:00 and onwards it ascends into musical comedy!
    Love it!

  7. b.... u....

    Mercury in piscis

  8. J.... ....

This album is my teenage years in the early 00s. Dreamy and beautiful but also lost and confused...

  9. M.... B....

    WONDERFULL ! ! ! !

  10. K.... R....

  11. D.... T....

    Very....Very...Nice

  12. L.... A....

Been listening to this since 1985. Still has the same effect. The music is so good, I can even overlook the rather intrusive drum machine sounds! Treasure must be one of the most amazing, innovative records ever made.

  13. S.... H....

The thing that always amazed me about Elizabeth Fraser is with each passing album she could get a different tone to come from her voice like a beautiful peacock changing its colors. Guthrie's sweeping arpeggios go along so nicely. I have never heard anything like the sound they created.

  14. G.... U....

  16. J.... Y....

Do not fault those who have found emotional impetus through this album

  17. A.... S....

    Beauty.

  18. J.... M....

Some critic said that in this, Liz is "the lady with the lamp." Yes, I see that too.

    J.... M....

So much romance in your comment. Thnks.

  19. J.... M....

I really love the deep WHAP tom-tom drum-machine sound they conjured-up in this one.

  20. J.... M....

I love a lot of songs on Treasure but I don't think it's as freakin' brilliant as some others do. It's like most of their other LPs - it has brilliant songs and ok songs. My favorite is still Victorialand. I think it's the real flawless record.

    J.... M....

I did at first but as the years have gone by I've noticed how abrasive the sound quality is.
I could imagine it being much better.

    J.... M....

Saw them live. Bought all their albums. This remains my fave song.

  21. g.... f....

    Such a sublime song.

  22. A.... A....
