devendra banhart?

AMOR <3
you guys do realize that bianca actually studied linguistics? Id bet my head they are aware of it, they do it quite often, play with the lyrics and the listener and inentionally twist things in their work. no fucking shit brazilians speak portuguese, you geniuses, you expect a medal for this basic piece of knowledge? oooh look at how smart you are!
The title of a song and a song itself can have little to no relation, as this is seen everywhere in all music.
Just ask yourself... really? Does it really matter that badly that you allow yourself to take offense and put your own energy into your own negative energetic pool?
Stop taking everything so damn seriously!
Before the title, before the lyrics, all I gathered was art in motion, in song. I appreciate that deeply and don't give a damn about any social conditioning of the ego.
Let song be song. That's all there is to it <3
Essa voz é do Devendra Banhart?
Alguém pfv me diz o pq da música?
love it!
Great sisters!
este tema le gusta a Cecilia Devidaaaaaaaaa!!!!!!!
y está en su zona de confort
Brazil loves you, i love you! :)
its ok to ofend brazilians. its just a third world country. it doesnt mean you will get much respect here if you ever come.
thats why we prefer Beyonce, she dances funk carioca Ah Lelek. Way better.
ci iacamiaba the song doesn't ofend Brazil, what are you talking about?
are you crazy? where is the offense?
ethereal
que lindo
magnifique...
i love this
the name in english, the lyrics in spanish and people in fight.
SHUT THE FUCK UP AND ENJOY THE SOUND.
Llorar :)
Cocorosie don't know that Brazilians speak Portuguese. Americans usually don't. Maybe due to an educational problem. Pretty bad.
I really don´t understand that kind of thinking, Just because the title of the song is brasilian sun it is not allowed to sing in another language?
Just enjoy the song, there are no boundaries in art and a song can be called brasilian sun and have spanish lyrics. Devendra sings here and he is from Venezuela, maybe he just wanted to sing in his own language, who knows...
+lumina the most offensive gringos that come to brazil think we speak spanish. thats why.
That may be true and it sucks but it has nothing to do with this song. Don´t mix things up that don´t belong together.
does it really matter that much?
dali's painting ? beauty ...
Cuando el sol cambia color
Cuando el sol cambia su color
<3
Coco Brazil tip, enjoy the Cup...
É Gringo fazendo música pra nóis, CocoRosie melhor banda do mundo!
I don't Know why is in spanish, if in Brazil speaks Portuguese
It's just the name of the song. Devendra Banhart (singing) sings in both English and Spanish, as he's Venezuelan-American. If I had to guess, I'd say Cocorosie and Devendra Banhart probably know that people in Brazil speak Portuguese.
Gibe sun plox, HU3HU3H3UH3U BR? BR? BR? I REPORT YU
Sun doesn't have language
Like god doesn't have gender
CocoRosie! they always do that, that's why i endlessly love them
+Cami Briceño all gringos know you ppl speak spanish. but the most ignorant ones think brazilians speak spanish too.
Enjoy the song and leave Brazil alone!
They like to cause a stir :)
Yo sé que existo

much much love!
Okay, I don't know you or them enough to make a smart and not hurtful reply, but I think Spanish is Devendra Banhart's native language? From my point of view it's just a song in Spanish about Brazil, but being European I guess I'm not educated enough about this problem you described. I apologize.
It spanish was her native language, I wouldn't be saying anything. Not being the case it's just plain stupid and inconsiderate by the fact that the lusophoneworld do not like the comparisons and aglotinations that anglophone people always make between us and the Hispanics. It's obviously ignorance, or at least i want to belive in that, other wise i have to conclude she made it to Spring up our rage...
Suck it jeeves
Devendra Banhart grew up in a Spanish speaking country, so it's obviously a language he has had former experience with. Besides that, why shouldn't they sing a song in Spanish about Brazil? Not all songs about France are in French. Not all songs about China are in Chinese. That's not ignorance, that's valueing beauty in words that you know.
I know how to conjugate the ver to be, thank you...
It would make sence if it was ininglish attending to the fact that it's their native language, but when they are talking about other nation and decide to do it in a foreign language, what's the sense of doing it in a language that it's from the country theyr are talking about? It's seems a big if, not to say ignorance...
It's seems more "because they ignorant"...
Esto es de Devendra.
Does it hurt? I mean, being bright?
its just a name..
the song name is in english. whatever..enjoying is better than being bright, isn't it :)
Maybe its not about Brazil? maybe just about brazil sun? does not have to be in portuguese
The first time I listened the song, I though the singer was Caetano Veloso. He is not, but could be he... who knows...
Listen to Devendra's soothing voice and calm your qualms about language
It's beautiful.
it doesn't matter what language they sing... it is beautiful and extremely artistic... Gorgeous song!
geez guys, i'm from brazil and i don't care if the song is in spanish or whatever, it's a beautiful song so just listen to it and shut the fuck up okay? okay
The language spoken in Brazil is the only Portuguese
No? Ancient Astica?
i hear a bit of "the day that never comes - metallica" at the intro.
Asi es! ;D
I Love You!

Essa musica me passa energias extremamente positivas.
This song is magical
I listened to this song a lot during a really painful, lonely and scary time in my life. Every time I listen to this song, I feel like I shouldn't because I reexperience those feelings again. I really want to just enjoy the song but it's so powerful.
