Cloud Nothings - Wasted Days Lyrics
Oh I know
My life's not gonna change
And I live
Through all these wasted days
Never thought
And I know
It's gonna stay the same
I thought I would be more than this
I thought I would be more than this
I thought I would be more than this
I thought I would be more than this
And I know
I'm losing all my time
Like it was ever mine
Didn't seem
My own I don't know why
Getting tired
Of living 'till I die
I thought I would be more than this
I thought I would be more than this
I thought I would be more than this
I thought I would be more than this
I thought I would be more than this
I thought I would be more than this
I thought I would be more than this
I thought I would be more than this
I thought I would be more than this
I thought I would be more than this
I thought I would be more than this
I thought I would be more than this

Cloud Nothings Wasted Days Comments
If you’re a millennial, it’s likely you were told you could be anything by parents or teachers. I think that’s part of why this song hits us all so hard.
MY LIFE IN A NUTSHELL!!!! :(
What you get when the strokes are molested by Nirvana
Check out the KEXP live version 14 minutes.. Brutal 😁
this band is so close to being huge, I'm glad I got to see them in the small venues cause those days are over !! good job CN !!
If Slint and Sonic Youth had a love child, and then that love child crossbred with Killdozer and The Wipers in a menage a trois
By far best Cloud Nothing song. So much emotion and energy
Such a Great band and tune! They always seem to play with so much energy & feeling. No fake pop BS here...
Omg is from 2011
6:05-7:05 Fuck yeah!!
years later and still 🔥
Sounds like Nirvana and Sonic Youth.

Any halfway decent rock song is a masterpiece in 2020

LYRICS
I know
My life's not gonna change
And I'll live
Through all these wasted days
Never thought
That I'd end up this way
And I know
It's gonna stay the same.
I thought
I would
Be more
Than this.
I know
I'm losing all my time
Can't believe
That it was all mine
Feeling sick
But I don't know why
Getting tired
Of living till I die.
Yes all drunk people love this song
I THOUGHT
I WAS ENTITLED
TO MORE
THAN THIS
Discovered this band in a Vans store today. Heard a couple seconds of Sight Unseen, fell in love, now I'm listening to all their stuff. This song is amazing
what's your favorite song so far?
Kapitalny kawałek.
I THOUGHT
I WOULD
BE MORE
THAN THIS
love it, would never have found this without triple j
C.N <3 7.7
Perfect. . I love you from Bogota- Colombia
The Verge - "Understand" (1983, from the "Habitual" EP). Different song, but similar enough in melody & mood(iness) that if you like one, you'll almost surely like the other, too. (I discovered The Verge first, but I love both songs). /watch?v=5d9nnUuKneQ
And yeah, fuck... man, these lyrics (i.e., to "Wasted Days")... witheringly, stingingly, infuriatingly, devastatingly relatable. Painful, yet cathartic to listen to--and all around fan-fucking-tastic. Need to get this record ASAP.
43 came here to state they don't like rock. Ok.
I want to thank Zan Rowe from triple J for letting me hear this song for the first time.
Zan has great taste and insight into music and could tell this was as a great band. cheers
great piece of music love it
6:47 all i can hear is that crash bandicoot wah meme
discovered this yesterday
Just listened to this song for the first time while tripping.
That breakdown/solo just absolutely tore me apart. What a fantastic build up thought it would never end.
sick mate
Try playing it at 3/4 speed. Gives it a different feeling.
Upload that shit
yehaaaaalike this sort of sounds
Getting pretty fucking tired of all the psudeo-critics talking about the validity of certain music. This band is great for reasons beyond pretty sounds. Good music can reach into the darkness to pull you out of the grave. It keeps you from sticking that needle in your arm one more time. It keeps those jagged insults from loved ones at arms length. Music is a tool, and tools have their place and time to be utilized. Clearly if you don't like this song, you havent subscribed to the brand of pain needed to really feel the message. That being said, stop trying to force music into the box of your perception. Don't like it? Don't worry, you don't have to listen.
WOOHOO OHIO!!!
The best song of the rock history for me, so great
Super Cool!!!!
They played this on Triple J in Australia last week and I'm so ignorant I thought it was Soundgarden in a tribute to Chris Cornell. I pulled over and watched the city for nine minutes. Fucken awesome track. Now my favourite band.
I LOVE this Song!!!!
new york wut wut https://soundcloud.com/the-anubis-2/the-flatlands-album-version?in=the-anubis-2/sets/multiverse
Dat Sonic Youth influence.
I've felt like this for at least ...3 years?
A slow climb to 21, and from that point on the slide is steep until 25.
Now welcome to the free fall. No slide. Nowhere. You and the nothingness. What's at the bottom? Who fucking knows? But I'll tell you this, you may think you've hit the bottom of it all, you may think rock bottom's where it's at, well no luck there friend. THERE'S A SUB-BASEMENT, AND THE FLOOR THERE IS GIVING OUT TOO!
Godspeed. LOL.
AMEN just turned 30. Huge musical inspirations and dreams for years as a songwriter. This song hits so so hard.
Do something about it.
We try, we try, sometimes we succeed, sometimes we fail. This song is for the failures, which we all have. We all need a bit of comfort and self-pity sometimes. It's impossible to stay strong at all times.
LIFE IS A FAILURE. EVERYONE DIES. ITS ALL A BIG FUCKING JOKE. nothing wrong about that@Victor Samaniego
Cant stop playing this - must be hitting a chord somewhere in my psyche - would love to go out with this tune in my head
Or you can do something about it while there is still time.
or we can scream to ourselves when we're alone and hope we finally get the courage to record it into something
I thought I would be more than this. Didnt we all.
Unfortunately, we did and we do all the time. It' s our bad!
Well I'm trying to do something about it
I have some sort of college anxiety now and relate A LOT to this song
SAME!!!
2 years later, but same...
Hows things now college boy ?
I asked in a facebook group for music recs for this exact feel and here we are )x
Great band, & great track. What's the noise called at 2:21 called? I want to use something similar for... stuff.
+Tomp4ul Are you talking about the delay on the vocals? You could probably get a similar sound with a eighth or sixteenth note delay.
if i could give you anything , i would give you a hit . just saying , it sounds like that sonic youth song from goo , or sister . not sure what it was , but still i like the voice of that singer it ´s not too bad , decent - still they should evolve a bit into some straighter direction . And NO ! Better than Nirvana , just say no dude :)
shit I wasn't even aware of this AWESOME song and band until fucking today!
Awesome song!
Fuck. Yeah!
There are things known and things unknown and in-between are Cloud Nothings!
A perfect song for when you want to yell FUCK EVERYTHING to the world.
You know, 9 days out of 10.
That's the spirit
King Hippo you mean 7 out of7
dude clearly there are 10 days in a week ok
Hello every1 with a messiah complex! :)
+uzor123
More like "everything is designed to stay shit forever" complex.
@For Aiur It's not that, it's tearing yourself down for measuring yourself against heroes and titans and coming up short.
The first song on the album and this one are the only ones I like.
I tried I really did but other those 2 songs they just sound like green day to me
This is the best song i have ever hear in my entire life up until this very moment. Cloud Nothing Wasted Days Attack On Memory.
Is it still your "best" song or did you find something else?
Saw them live a couple days ago, this song was absolutely bonkers they thrashed it
the ending is something epic
Gives me chills every time bruh
I THOUGHT
I WOULD
BE MORE
THAN THIS
Thanks for the lyrics mate, was searching everywhere
+Do Pandas Read Books? Hahahahaha
literally just posted this link on my facebook spaced out like you did, then saw this comment. now im a big fat phony
How about the rest?...
I am so disappointed in the CRAPPY song. I was hoping for something at least listenable, This is just ugly noise.
@TheInvincibleViolet thought that at first then i listened to their other stuff and listened to his lyrics and its pretty good
Hmmmmmmmmm...
I have to disagree, it's got cracking good lyrics and filthy drum fills.
3 out of 3 stars.
Whatever, Harry, theres no accounting for taste, ( or recognition of decent "music", as is exhibited here; and the addition of your comment , as well...) like it if you want, who cares? I call it trash. * shrugs
Best film clip aahvah!!!
The long interlude format reminds me of Light My Fire from The Doors... Two totally different styles I know. Love this song!
I have been listening to a lot of prog rock since I was a child, because my dad was a huge Pink Floyd, King Crimson etc. fan. So I've never had a problem with songs being "too long" like many other people have. A good song is as long as it needs to be.
I've always found it intriguing when a non-prog rock band steps out of the common 3-4 minute boundary. This song feels just about right at its length. I love the long instrumental in the middle.
I feel dat
this is like nirvana but better
Shut the fuck up Donnie!!!!
Fernanda Lamperouge Grunge was an explosion of indie music to the mainstream.
Indie is not a genre.
Nirvana were different from the other famous grunge bands such as Soundgarden or Pearl Jam in that they had more of a punk influence (think Melvins) and also a big noise rock influence (think Sonic Youth). Cloud Nothings have both a strong punk and noise rock influence, plus this album was produced by Steve Albini, so I can see why one would consider them similar. Also, Cloud Nothings were influenced by lo-fi pop/rock in the vein of Guided By Voices, similar to Nirvana being influenced by the Vaselines.
Oh, and yeah, "indie" is not a genre, just a term for non-major label music, though many indie rock bands have something common in their sound other bands don't have. I suspect it's the raw energy.
Nirvana, Indie, Grunge? Whatever !! I hear a tad bit of "Cannibal Corpse!" You don't read me, commenting...
I discovered this band. I was the one who told him to get a full band behind him. And when they were recording this album.. I was the one who suggested that this song should be on it. And I was the one who told steve albini to produce it like this.... I just said "Steve, Don't do it like that. Do it like this".
yes i know what you mean... Pink Floyd would never made such a big career if it wasn't me
@Soul Eater HA!
Oh man if I got a quarter for everytime I discovered a band...
@IncubationIsolation then you'd probably be pretty close to how many times ive gotten rockers on heroin.
Phil came in right? Strummed out this tune, yeah? And I said, "That's a number one record."
I like what I'm hearing.
This is the song that turned me on to the band! I just reviewed Cloud Nothings new album "Here and Nowhere Else" on my channel, check it out if you like, would love to hear what everyone is thinking about their 4th album!
I think their new album is p. good. reminds me of California x and pagoda
Wow I just came here after watching your video about 7 long amazing songs.
Vocals remind me of Bad Religion 80-85! Bad ass song!
The screams at then end of this song contain not one single ounce of bullshit. I'm so glad there's still guitar music being made with this much gusto.
I'm your first reply after 5 years. Thomas. Are you OK?
@sappyjohnson Are you OK?
@Gabe Von Yes, but I don't even remember making that comment lol. Maybe not so ok.
@sappyjohnson oof maybe lay off the qualuudes my dude

Carbon Operator <3
This album is goddamn amazing.
aw esome
Definitely upvoted! I could hear to this one thousand times without ever wanting to give some diversity to my taste ... Like it as is!
it's a fucking great bass line
esotoy aqui por @carloseslim
from 3:00 to 8:01 : the reason why you shouldn't play bass, if you wanna have fun making music.
fuck you pussy. get creative
rarely have heard of him/them
No Mumford and Sons blow, terrible overproduced bland radio-friendly folk which isn't folk at all
I feel you bro
Mumford and Sons taken out of the circle of pop music are a pathetic excuse for "folk"
Yeah diversity in taste is really imporant...but FFS Muford and Sons!
que digo yo que cada uno tocara lo que le salga de los cojones, que al final nadie te encañona para que escuches su musica
Joder, dan ganas de tocar todos los instrumentos de esta canción.
I would wish to play all instruments in this song.
que mala banda, les di su oportunidad, pero no se puede tocar este tipo de punk rock basico ya, es predecible.
He's right.
