Cliff Richard - Count Me Out Lyrics
What kind of love is this that leaves me feeling cold
You look right through me what see nobody knows
You're in a world all by yourself - needing no one else
Feeling so secure
What's to become of me, should feelings be denied
Another time another place, would I be the same old face
For you to have around
There's no way in, there's no way out I'm caught in the middle
Why must you leave my heart in doubt
We have a one way love that flows from me to you
There's nothing more for me to lose
We're through with talking now we know that it's the end
It seems like only yesterday, that love had come to stay
How could we be so blind
There's no way in, there's no way out I'm caught in the middle
Why must you leave my heart in doubt
We have a one way love that flows from me to you
There's nothing more for me to lose
I don't know where your heart is or what's inside your head
If this is love you said it, if this is love forget it
If this is love then count me out

I love this song brings back good memories
I have never heard this, but the first thing i thought was it sounds very much like the stuff Genesis was putting out in those days. Imagine if Phil Collins was singing this. Could easily be a Genesis track.
part 2 - and I don't. Well, that's what brings out envy/jealousy in me, telling me what the heck is wrong with me?
Like Cliff, I'm also a Christian. My parents, who are also Christians since 1976, knew Elvis during his Army days and wrote a book about it, and before Cliff became a Christian, he was trying to be the British Elvis. As for this song, it's about my own struggle about 2 things - when a girl only wants to be my friend so she can be someone else's girlfriend/wife instead, and when I'm expected to attend parties, or go back to churches, where affectionate couples rub it in how they have it made.
Cliff has been a christian since the early or mid 60's
OMG, used to listen to this when I split up with my first real girlfriend ...OMG
I really love this song!!..first heard it as a b side to 'we dont talk anymore' thought the b side was better, i wonder how many people (or fans) think as i do, that a lot of his b sides shouldve been released as singles rather than the hits he had, b sides like 'ocean deep' 'wide open space' and so on!, does anyone agree?
Spot on mate 6 years later I always thought this exactly, I used to buy Cliff records at jumble sales when I was a kid I loved them but the b. side was always as good if not better, I loved celestial house, why wasn't I born rich and you never can tell excellent songs!
Jason, my 14 year old son Adam likes ''You never can tell''
It’s a very good song but ‘We don’t talk anymore’ is a classic.
I live in the USA and I had several demonstration albums I got from a DJ, one of them was Greenlight by Cliff Richards, it was stamped Demonstration Not for resale. Just last year the bank took our home illegally and I didn't want to trust their ways anymore so we left and I gave all my things away. So this was wonderful to be able to hear the songs from this Album again. I loved it. I am now living for Christ and I'm not totally positive but I think Cliff did too. Thank You So Much!
