Classic Crime, The - Blindfolded Lyrics

I'll transcend time
And with my words
I'll build a house for you and I
And we will live there
Together
Alone in surreal lives

Do we just exist?
And does love persist?
The questions of purpose
And love and of destiny
Our conquest for bliss
Is as much hit or miss
As it is skimming the fat
Off of our beliefs

I walk around blindfolded
Talk, I'm not listening
I read through a thousand books
But forgot everything

If grace knows my name
Then I am to blame
For constantly spreading my fear and my shame
If a story exists
It's in our genetics
But still my tongue cannot be trusted
It's so poetic
Like a black widow's kiss
I'm trembling as my muscles give...

I walk around blindfolded
Talk, I'm not listening
I read through a thousand books
But forgot everything

I found out that proof itself was
Not foolproof
And I leave my mind daily
But you'd never see me move
Never see me move
Never see me move
Never see me move
Never see me move

I do not know why I love this song. But I do.

this has long been a favorite song of mine. Recently I broke down and tried watching 'Naruto' for the first and was surprised to find that I actually liked the show and LOVED the end theme. After hearing it a few times I realized what it reminded me of -- this song. And since that show actually predates this albums release by 5 years or so I can only wonder if boys in the Crime are fans. Sure their not really that similar musically but it was a fun thought for me.
