Clark Sisters, The - I Won't Let You Go Till You Bless My Soul Lyrics

I won't let go lord till you bless my soul
I won't let go lord till you bless my soul [2x]

[Chorus:]
I won't let go lord till you bless my soul
I won't let go lord till you bless my soul

Down here on my knees lord I pray yeah
And I won't let go

[Chorus]

Oh somebody told me just the other day
Not to let go till you bless my soul
A preacher told me just the other day
Not to let go till you bless my soul

Down here on my knees lord I pray
Standing at the altar while my soul is waiting

A missionary told me just the other day
Told me don't let go till you bless my soul
Sitting in church on a Sunday evening
Somebody told me to hang on and don't let go.

Never let go till you bless my soul
Never let go till you bless my soul
Rain on me, Shine on me, Fall on me
Let the windows of heaven flood my soul [repeat as desired]

  1. Dark Feather

I love Dorinda's head voice! I wonder why she didn't use it more.

  2. Fionn Ross

This is the closest we've got to the Hero with an African face fighting with monsters. Thank you!

  3. warrior1975ify

Who is excited about the movie coming out ?? I can't wait

  4. Deitres Tolbert

I remember when my group performed this at Cogic youth explosion... those was the days.

  5. asquaredmedia

This Track should have been a MAJOR Cross Over Hit... R&B Radio would have wore this out..❤❤💯💯

  6. Letasha Phillips

    ❤❤🎤🎶🔥🙌 this song

  7. David Sanford

Dorinda was NOT playing no games! She went hard on this one!

  8. Deitres Tolbert

Twinkie the music particular the bass... Ladies need to bring this song back. Dang! Y'all retired wishful thinking.

  9. Deitres Tolbert

Who was doing that fos- soprano....lead part "rain on me shine on me"? Sounded like Karen...not sure on this one.

    zleo

Yall have to listen closer. Dorinda has a pronounced rasp in her voice. The person doing it doesn't. And even in songs where one person leads there are times the other person jumps. Karen leads Living but Dorinda sings toward the end. And in this song there would be no need for Dorinda to sing the soprano note since she is leading

    Jazz c

@zleo Oh ok so you were there in the studio when they recorded the song?? Didnt think so....I said what I said.

    zleo

@Jazz c by your logic that means you were there too right? It's never that serious. Remember to never let go until the Lord bless your soul😇

    Craig Dye

    That was Twinkie

    Craig Dye

But at the end it was Dorinda

  10. Deitres Tolbert

Dorinda riped this song apart... And the background was Superior..my old jam.
