Just discovered this beautiful song. What's funny to me because if this was the nineties and a secular song. This wouldve been about a man. Thats when it hit me how ridiculous secular music is with all the mate worship. Our gifts are meant to praise the Most High only!

Many of the Clark Sister's songs were based on secular songs. Twinkie even said so in at least one of her nterviews. You Brought the Sunshine was based on a Stevie Wonder song, Master Blaster. Part of her talent was taking the secular rhythm and putting sacred lyrics to it. She, of course, also wrote a ton of her own songs without inspiration from without. But we mustn't forget their mother, Mattie Moss Clark (Minister of Music *not certain of title* for the Church of God in Christ), was chastised for singing with them at a Hollywood award ceremony.

@Miss Preston Denise was *NOT* on this recording. She was around when Twinkie had written this song, and they sang it together live, but her voice is *NOT* on this recording. They even even split into an obvious 3 parts, not 4.

No. Denise was on it originally but they had to re-record the album (I believe due to legal issues with the record label) after she left the group.

The album was originally done in 1984 but label issues forced it to be shelved until they signed with a new label and re-recorded it. By then, Denise had left.
