Clapton, Eric - When You Got A Good Friend Lyrics

When you got a good friend
That will stay right by your side,
When you got a good friend
That will stay right by your side,
Give her all your spare time,
Love and treat her right.

I mistreated my baby
And I can't see no reason why.
I mistreated my baby
And I can't see no reason why.
Any time I think about it
I just wring my hands and cry.

Wonder could I ever apologize
Or would she sympathize with me?
Would she sympathize with me?
She's a brown-skin woman,
Just as sweet as a girlfriend can be.

Babe, I may be right or wrong.
Babe, it's your opinion,
Well, I may be right or wrong.
Watch your close friend, baby,
Then your enemies can't do you no harm.

When you got a good friend
That will stay right by your side,
When you got a good friend
That will stay right by your side,
Give her all your spare time,
Love and treat her right.

Ja! "For Robert Johnson"!! das ist Clapton in seinem Blues-Element. Besser geht nicht. Und B.Preston (RiP), Chr. Stainton, Do. Bramhall II, St. Gadd und natürlich Nat. East quellen über vor Spiellaune. Das merkt man schon, wenn die ersten Akkorde klingen. Wow!!!

This is wonderful, red hot blues. I prefer Johnny Winter’s raw version, but this is good band blues. Eric makes it look so easy.

You've just restored my faith in humanity.  Great performance...

  41. j.... j....

Love the two guitar play out.

  42. M.... ....

It's nice and it's an RJ song but it doesn't bear much resemblance to RJ's version. I was playing along with the Johnson recording and ended up in F# yesterday. I think he was probably working in an E configuration. (there's still that pesky consideration about the proper speed for the RJ recordings.)

    M.... ....

You worry about pesky considerations. We'll enjoy this

  43. h.... ....

This is why music like this is best at clubs. I can compare.
