Clapton, Eric - Walkin' Blues Lyrics
Woke up this morning, feel 'round for my shoes,
You know 'bout that babe, had them old walkin' blues.
Woke up this morning, I feel 'round for my shoes,
You know 'bout that babe, Lord, I had them old walkin' blues.
I've been mistreated, don't mind dying.
This morning, I had to go ride the blinds,
I've been mistreated, Lord, I don't mind dying.
People tell me walkin' blues ain't bad;
Worst old feeling I most ever had.
People tell me the old walkin' blues ain't bad.
Well it's the worst old feeling, Lord, I most ever had.

He and Bonnie Raitt need to do a duet of this song
Thinking about another Xmas season 10,000 miles from my hometown. Happy and Merry everyone from SE Asia. This guitar is lovely in the hot sun. I won't be home for Christmas for the fifth year in a row.
I feel like going home.....Muddy Waters
With Johnsons lyrics
Muddy Waters would be proud.
I was 11 when this came out. I feel in love with the blues and the guitar. Been my loved the last 27 years
I'm not much of a fan of Eric Clapton's style of "rock" music, but I definitely love his playing of Robert Johnson songs, along with other assorted blues tunes.🎸
Thanx for the shoes. Great for the city. lol
I advise everyone to listen to this very song...but AN AUDIO RECORDING.Simply search up Eric Clapton Unplugged - Walking blues...( a better audio quality...from the ACTUALL ALBUM.You will ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT!!! Not that you dont love it as this video shows, ofc not.Its just.... this one is Special and it HAS to be listened in a PROPER AUDIO QUALITY :-)
I concur strongly
Does anyone know what exact guitar he is using for this piece ? Martin's ? Dobro single cone ?
It's a mix apparently. Eric got the body from Gruhns from an old Regal resonator and Randy Wood converted for him it from a biscuit to a dobro spider bridge and added a dobro cover plate. Then a Martin neck was put on in and Randy did the custom fretboard inlays. I'm not sure if this is all 100% accurate but pretty close I believe. So the answer to your question is that is a really a mongrel guitar - a bit of this, a bit of that, a bit of customising!! Sounds amazing though.
This was "the anthem" in Mississippi in the 1920's through the 1940's. Every guitar player learned this song.
Per pensare
Yep...Eric got the heart and soul of this old song...don't speed it up or get all bangy clangy... it ain't good time blues...worst old feeling I most ever had...
