Clapton, Eric - Walkin' Blues Lyrics

Woke up this morning, feel 'round for my shoes,
You know 'bout that babe, had them old walkin' blues.
Woke up this morning, I feel 'round for my shoes,
You know 'bout that babe, Lord, I had them old walkin' blues.

Leavin' this morning, I had to go ride the blinds.
I've been mistreated, don't mind dying.
This morning, I had to go ride the blinds,
I've been mistreated, Lord, I don't mind dying.

People tell me walkin' blues ain't bad;
Worst old feeling I most ever had.
People tell me the old walkin' blues ain't bad.
Well it's the worst old feeling, Lord, I most ever had.

    Thinking about another Xmas season 10,000 miles from my hometown. Happy and Merry everyone from SE Asia. This guitar is lovely in the hot sun. I won't be home for Christmas for the fifth year in a row.

    I'm not much of a fan of Eric Clapton's style of "rock" music, but I definitely love his playing of Robert Johnson songs, along with other assorted blues tunes.🎸

    Does anyone know what exact guitar he is using for this piece ? Martin's ? Dobro single cone ?

    L.... ....

    It's a mix apparently. Eric got the body from Gruhns from an old Regal resonator and Randy Wood converted for him it from a biscuit to a dobro spider bridge and added a dobro cover plate. Then a Martin neck was put on in and Randy did the custom fretboard inlays. I'm not sure if this is all 100% accurate but pretty close I believe. So the answer to your question is that is a really a mongrel guitar - a bit of this, a bit of that, a bit of customising!! Sounds amazing though.

    This was "the anthem" in Mississippi in the 1920's through the 1940's. Every guitar player learned this song.
