Clapton, Eric - High Lyrics

High upon a mountain top
Where the eagle builds his nest
I shall go wandering,
Trying to put my mind at rest,
And I shall never cease
Until the day I die.

He was once a friend of mine,
But I did not know or care
Until she said goodbye.
I cried till I could hardly see
The meaning of my life.
What do I do now?

High upon a mountain top
Where the eagle builds his nest
I shall go wandering,
Trying to put my mind at rest,
And I shall never cease
Until the day I die.

Although Eric has given no credence to this album, it is one of my favorites. 2nd side is almost all EC's songs, including this gem. Jam on, Eric!

This album is the best from EC. Has always been my favorite. It got bad critics when it came, but it is of an unusual calibre in the music world. It is simply great. The whole album, not only this melody.
