Circa Survive - Quiet Down Lyrics

Come between us, in our language, we stand up
Underneath it, buried deep inside your ancient walls
Replicate, many ways, destination melt away
Separate, and never say, transformation incomplete

How could I change? I'll never stay with you
And never stop regretting it
Search for my name, I'll never say sorry
An accident within itself
Stay within reach, the answers you seek, are everywhere
(Show me where)
You just have to quiet down
Lay back and know, the less that you show, beyond regret
The further you'll go

Just as the first words you spoke
Just as the fire, you burn out, oh
Circle the hearts that knew lies
The vision that haunts you in the night
Keep it inside

In our story you, have everything you want
Taste regret in all the faces we have seen before

Cut away, separate, destination self-destruct
Replicate, never say, all of it was just dumb luck

How could I change? I'll never stay with you
And never stop regretting it
Search for my name, I'll never say sorry
An accident within itself
Stay within reach, the answers you seek, are everywhere
(Show me where)
You just have to quiet down
Lay back and know, the less that you show, beyond regret
The further you'll go

+Atlas It's, "How could I change and ever stay with you."

  9. Jimothy Meyers

This is honestly one of my favorites tunes they've put out. It amazes me how every album of theirs sounds totally different but still has that unique CS vibe.

  10. amy blackdown

Circa Survive is like eating chocolade, you will never satiating

  11. Hamsterwheel

The album art is really impressive and refreshing, it seems like it's a common trade for 'prog metal' bands to use a lot of pictures from space, stars and even though I don't really mind it that much it's just nice to see something completely different :)

  12. Shea Jamrowski

you guys got it wrong...the antichrist is Nickleback.

  13. Jacob Rodgers

I hate to say this, but I feel as though this may be the only great song on this album. That being said there are a couple good songs, however compared too the previous consistency in CS's melodious qualities this album has some very tired dragged out moment. What I mean is, I don't need to hear Anthony say ever, "ever everever everrr" again.

    horizoniki

Nesting Dolls is an excellent song every fledged CS fan should feel, appreciate and love.

    Kyle Norwell

nesting dolls is a fucking out of body experience when they play it live

    John Riddler

+Jacob Rodgers that song is more of a mental song.. in other words.. imagine being under the influence and you are s tuck in your own mind.. in despair.

    boysinthesink

Jacob Rodgers uh child of the desert?

    Patrick Dale

    Schema is so sick!

  14. Korben Dallas

    We're all Thieves at 2:00 mark...chills.

    Getawhale

    Good catch!

  15. RomanK

    Hello?
I think i can't hear stuff anymore cause this song made my ears bleed in joy and the blood  smiled o:

  16. MonolithMedia

This album is awesome! Not sure why everyone seems to contrast the sound against OLG as if that was their best album, it's probably my least favourite of theirs to be honest.

    Ashton Farleigh

almost agreed with you until you said OLG is your least favorite...

  17. DaDaDaDrums

Can we just all agree on something? THIS SONG IS F*#($NG AWESOME

  18. ToyHippie

gets better with age this album was so worth the pre order

  19. Anthony Fonseca

    Missed 'ya guys

  20. 33 86

seriously, its so nice to hear the old sound breaking through on this song. i just got done listening to all the songs and i have to say this is the best. i was kind of disappointed with the album to be honest, i dont care for this new watered-down sound they're creating. im a circa fan for this life and the next, but god help me the album was a tad boring..

    david entendu

Watered down? Are you fucking kidding me did you listen to that solo at 2:30 mark and the lyrical content. As said in other comments, this band stays most original. They always put so much effort into each album just like another incredible band Brand New.

    David Adams

This record is what I consider driving music.

More detail (Keep in mind this is just my point of view)

This album is padded out, but that doesn't mean it's bad. It is kinda boring at times, most notably "Who Will Lie With Me Now", "Nesting Dolls" and "Descensus." Fans of the earlier, post hardcore ish circa probably won't enjoy it, but they've been going in the direction of being more progressive/experimental.

They took baby steps toward this from juturna to bsn. With Violent Waves they took a giant step in terms of finding a new sound, so it's understandable why it fell a bit short in comparison to the other records.

With their new stuff, you need to stay and listen for awhile, wait for the tension to build up, settle, build up, settle, until the very end when the huge breakdown happens. It puts you in a trance and snaps you out of it like a building being demolished with controlled explosives.

Blue Sky Noise has the best sound for me, with Descensus being a close second. I don't like everything they put out. That being said, I have favorites from every record they've put out.

Something to take from Circa Survive is that the bands you like won't always have the same sound. You don't have to like it, but rather than throw a hissy fit, give in depth feedback on why you don't like it. And to those people who feel like they have to defend circa from every "hateful" comment, just don't.

    Amy P

@I Oshuda I can't see them ever writing an album as perfect as Juturna again. Really diggin' this song though.

    David Adams

    @Amy P
Juturna, while it was a great record, wasn't perfect. the production value of that record wasn't the best and the way anthony sang was too breathy. Overall Juturna gets a B+ for me. That could change though if Circa were to do a remastered version of it. It would be cool to hear what it would sound like if they cleaned it up, and with their current skill as musicians.

    Kevin Coronel

@David A I've always thought about how much better Act Appalled would sound if it were remastered

  21. Ray Kon

got to be my favorite one at the moment

  22. DIllon Hazeltine

    Western psychedelic groove
