    I love this song however the part of the chorus where he says "they never told us" makes me think he's referring to white people not telling us we are beautiful, not teaching us about our true roots and culture. Why should they? And why are black people so surprised that a race that has so clearly proven that they think less of us, is not trying to empower us? I'm not knocking the song or trying to take away from the overall message. I just want black people to start empowering themselves coz it's a jungle out here.
