There’s something so hauntingly touching about the ending to this. Listening to those chords was very emotional for some reason, kinda like watching the conclusion to a very beautiful film. Either way, I wish I could hear it play for hours. 💟

@Jose Jimenez :( I had this when it released. My friends that thought 'Modest Mouse' (Moon & Antarctica) was just on the edge of "weird/soft" didn't know what to make of 'Lines in My Face.' But they turned on to the album, and respected my musical suggestions from then on (mainly, Coheed, Bowling for Soup [just because you hate the authority, doesn't mean you can't be happy], AlienAntFarm, soft technicality of MatchBox20 and so and such....). And they appreciated me (for once!, if only in that context) opening their doors that music doesn't always have to fit in JUST one genre. (I will defend that Chronic Future created rap-rock, from the rock-rap formation that the Beasties created).


So, because of that...


If I could have a thing from my past back, in perfect condition...

well that comment just sounded stupid, sorry i was tired. I MEANT TO SAY. this song sound like two soldiers were in a fire fight and then one who was about to throw a grenade but he got shot and dropped the grenade, injuring him and shellshocking the other. then while the injured soldier was slowly dying the other one was mourning him and trying to keep him alive until he couldnt do anything more.. i think its a sad song

this reminds me of war, like some one got shot with a live grenade in their hand and they blew up but the friend was shellshocked but he didnt die and he was mourning him while he was dying.
