Chris LeDoux - I Believe In America Lyrics

This country's seen some hard times, lord knows she's deep in debt.
She's comin' through another depression and for some it ain't over yet.
We've all been divided, playin' our own selfish games.
Why does it always take the hard times to get people back together again.
But I believe in America, I believe in America...
One nation under God, still proud and strong!
I believe in America, I'm proud to be in America,
Though I know in America we've gotta right some wrongs.
But I don't believe you can keep America down for long.
Now if you read the papers, or listen to the news these days.
Sometimes there don't look like there's much hope left for the good ole USA.
This country she ain't perfect, but thank God she's still free.
An' she's gonna make her comeback, yes sir, just you wait and see.
An' I believe in America, I believe in America...
One nation under God, still proud and strong!
I believe in America, I'm proud to be in America,
Though I know in America we gotta right some wrongs.
But I don't believe you can keep America down for long.
I believe in America, I believe in America...
One nation under God, still proud and strong!
I believe in America, I'm proud to be in America,
though I know in America we gotta right some wrongs.
But I don't believe you can keep America down for long.

  15. Ta Spaw

    Americans... Pffff hahaahah!
You sing about "freedom" while you captured, killed and stole the lands from Native Americans.... The irony !

    Ta Spaw

@Caelan Garland They didn't "kill" you. They just defended their lands by killing you. It's not the same.

    Ta Spaw

@Caelan Garland You forced them to attack you back. They didn't want to kill you, they just attacked back.

    Irishjay1025

@Ta Spaw at least they still have a voice unlike the one who were here before them who they killed off!!!

    PJ Brown

It's the same story in every country all over the world since the dawn of time.
Strength conquers the weak and it's still going on, and it'll never change.
The true original natives were conquered by stronger tribes before European settlers ever arrived, and those settlers (pilgrims) then conquered those tribes that invaded this land and since then nobody has come along big and badass enough to conquer the pilgrims who fought for and won this land. ever heard the phrase How the West Was Won? we won it with blood sweat and tears.
Still waiting for someone to come along and try to take it from us.
The freedom that Chris LeDoux speaks of is only for those of us who are entitled who have earned that freedom. We are Patriots and that's something you'll never know, that's something you'll never be.
    End of story.

    PJ Brown

Chris Ledoux was a country singer legend. But its sad, most people would rather listen to Justin Bieber. Chris LeDoux would make a great president, but he passed on.~
