What you need to remember is the words he said during The Promise interview how he could see something blue in front of him but could not speak sometimes this is what needs remembered

He was an artist, a musician, a songwriter. This is how artists process their pain and life. They heard alright, and kept loving him while he wrote and sang and played.

Yes he did, in Sylmar, I helped manage the talent, i was assisting the Casting Director. it was so much fun I was wondering if any of the kids who were in the video were on here making comments I wanted to say hello to everyone. They were fun to work with, it was a great week. My heart is broken. Chris was the love of my life. I knew the Assistant AD John. He still makes fun of me and we laugh about this whenever I run into him because I was a mess crying all week because I could hardly contain myself, I was trying to hide the fact that I was obsessed with Chris. I'd tell you to say hello to Fernie but he won't remember me.

Must have been such an honour. I'm envious and happy at the same time, that Chirs was able to meet such great people like you two. Chris was also a really important part of my life too, and I think getting through the first phase of denial itself will take me years. I live on the other side of the planet, but I felt closer to him than to people around me.

If anyone ever thought Chris couldn't "rock out" as a solo artist, here's one from the album _Carry On_ that should hopefully change their minds... This is definitely one to crank up! Love it!! Besides the music, I also think this song shows off the passion Chris uses when singing and his insightful lyric writing. One of my favorite lines that he's ever written comes from this song:

The video may be a bit graphic for some, but I think the purpose is to emphasize the meaning and intensity of the lyrics. It is art.

I only bothered with Cornell's first solo album (which I love!) but this sounds a lot better than I anticipated! This actually sounds better than recent Soundgarden :/

Dolorosakil, the second solo album is much more "rock" and does indeed sound more like Soundgarden than Euphoria Morning did. That album was more experimental and alternative, a bit Beatles-esque imo, and brilliant. But Carry On is a brilliant album in its own right, if a little more conventional. Also, it's hard as f*ck if you like a big heavy sound...and some songs are pretty dark (as you can tell from this video). Personally I love them both! Take care.

And right on, Euphoria Morning was a bit Beatles-esq mixed with a bit of modern blues. I'd like to hear another Cornell album like it...
