I think he’s def talking to his daughter & the entire world (or anyone who listens) during the entire song but mainly the hook. It’s almost as if he speaks from his younger perspective in the latter part of the hook when he says “give it up, but it wasn’t enough to please ya” ect.. Plus IMO, he’s def talking about Riahanna in the 1st verse. My jam tho! Might be my fav from the album. So many layers to it.
