Chicago - What The World Needs Now Is Love Lyrics

What the world needs now is love, sweet love
It's the only thing, that there's just too little of
What the world needs now is love, sweet love
No, not just for some, but for everyone

What the world needs now is love, sweet love
It's the only thing, that there's just too little of
What the world needs now is love, sweet love
No, not just for some, but for everyone

Lord, we don't need another mountain
There are mountains and hillsides enough to climb
There are oceans and rivers enough to cross
Enough to last 'til the end of time

What the world needs now is love, sweet love
No, not just for some, but for everyone

What the world needs now is love, sweet love
It's the only thing, that there's just too little of
What the world needs now is love, sweet love
No, not just for some, oh, but just for every-, every-, everyone

I won't say that I could have provided a better-sounding vocal whilst hiding under my school desk whilst I oughta' be doing my schoolwork, and also so that my teacher won't hear me, because it's clear that the vocal recording here was done experimentally and the band decided it's ok. I'm happy with that! Stefanie,12

What the world needs now is a new Chicago album with all new material.

Great job with rearranging this song from Burt. I would love an entire album of covers of great tunes from the 70's chicago style!

That exists. Check out Leonid and Friends.

Vocals mixed horribly. Lamm sounds almost like he's singing from a megaphone.

I really like how they did this!

This is great. Chicago's Robert Lamm and Burt Bacharach have always been contemporaries. I wolud love to have heard a nice sax or trumpet solo somewhere here. But love it just the same.
