I bought Chicago 17 on cassette when it was a new release. I was just a kid then I couldn't wait to get home and cut the long plastic keep you from stealing thing off. I can almost smell the new cassette tape smell when I listen to these songs now 30-some years later. Must have listened to whole album at least a few hundred times.

i cannot listen to this one , my first love dedicated this one to me , she was killed in a motorcycling accident in 1987 when we were together she was 18 !!!! i will never forget her .. rip i will see you in heaven . it was the hardest time i ever had in my life .

It probably wasn't released as a single since it's a walz (3/4) that turns into "normal" 4/4 - the label probably deemed that not suitable for a single.

This song to me remains my favourite Chicago song as soon as I heard it back in the 80s.

Chicago, one of my favorite bands. progressive and classic....

Rip dad and mum dedicated to my late parents, much loved and missed.

It could be the master piece of the entire album. In the mid eighties when 17 came out I played this cassette to death. To this day one of their best.

This is such an underrated song. One of the best love songs I’ve ever heard. The violins make it so emotional.

One example that the best music of an album is not the chosen to play on the radio. There are a lot of unknow musics better than the famous ones. This for me is the best music of all Chicago´s life. Thanks for "remember"

Bought All that Chicago ever made.. Peter Cetera has such a beautiful voice . And the memories that these songs bring back still make chill bumps on my arms !!

Granville, although we have slightly different musical experiences about this magnificent band, I readily identify with the part of your post that mentioned stirred memories. Chicago 17 in its entirety does that for me. A nice first name by the way. :)

Peter Cetera, Robert Lamm, Bill Champlin & David Foster were singing in this album! 4 excellent singers in 1981 - 1985 but nowdays it's ONLY 1!

CHICAGO 17 I do love all the songs in this album. Specially this is the last album with Peter Cetera. My Personal Favorite are You're The Inspiration, Hard Habit to Break and this one. I remember the Feeling. it reminds me of Someone Special way back 1984.

Totally sounds fitting for a wet dream, and waking up afterwards, finding out it was all a fantasy...

Epic song until 1:30... Cetera sings "Was it too good to be true?" Yes too me it seems, Cetera please pleaseee pleaseeeee remake the ending of this beautiful song.

"You're the inspiration" has a stronger chorus IMO. Easier probably but very singy singy. This one is more elaborated

Chicago was a great band and Cetera was a great bassist/vocalist, but this song is simply awful.

This song reminds me of my first love. We laid down in a field across from a party we were at in high school on sunset ave. We just made out, didn't do much more. It was just a wonderful moment and once in a while I would drive down Sunset ave to re-live the moment. There is a housing development on top of that field now...

Know that the end of the song is different.  Mabye it should have gone more like this: When I Awoke,  I could see that she was there. Ohhhh Ohhhhh, See was there . No one can even come close to duplicating Peter's voice. His voice has a very unusual tenor to it and he has perfect pitch. Chicago never performed this song live. Peter and Bill champlin wrote this song. He stills sounds good at age 71. His concert at The Saban is Beverly Hills a couple of weeks ago was outstanding. You can see excerpts on Youtube. He is my favorite.

In comparison to who or what tho? For his genre? Possibly, but he's not that extremely unique a vocal talent as you'd like to believe..youre just biased because he's your favorite singer obviously and im a huge Chicago fan used to cover their songs in a band i played in years ago

Such a shame it was never performed live. I absolutely love this song but haven't really been aware of it back in the day... More recently.

Today Peter Cetera is my favorite artist. His range on "Remember The Feeling" is incredible. I wish we the fans saw more of Mr Cetera on stage. What a voice/talent.
