Chicago - One More Day Lyrics
Listen to the wind
Hear the voice inside you.
Something in the air,
Something you've been blind to.
People everywhere are dying to be free.
[Chorus:]
Give the children of the world one more day,
Give the children of the world, give them one more day.
Where do we begin?
When will freedom find us?
Bring the new day in
Free the chains that bind us.
People reaching out for just a little more.
[Chorus]
Now the future's up to you.
Take a stand and see things thru
For the children of tomorrow.
Give the world one more day,
Time enough to find a way
To start over a way to go on.
One more day
One more day
Give the children of the world
One more day
One more day
One more day
Give the children of tomorrow
One more day

Chicago One More Day Comments
Classic Chicago with the three lead vocalists!!
I was a big fan of The Son's of Champlin from way back. Then I heard that Bill had joined Chicago. Bill's amazing vocals are all over this album....especially in this tune. Yea....the entire band is great here, but Bill's vocals just ad a wonderful sparkle.
Always loved this song!!!!!!!!!!! One of their best!!!!!!!!!!!!! Humberto and Davis Foster can compose some awesome stuff I can feel their touch all over this song!!!!!
Why wasn't Chicago at the USA for Africa recording?
They were there. They have a song called "Good for Nothing" on the album. However, they were not part of the better known "We are the World" song. That does bring up a good question as to wonder why they weren't on it? Especially coming fresh off of "Chicago 17". Possibly, since they're known as a hard touring band, they may have been doing the "Chicago 17" tour at the time and did not have enough time for the studio session?
I must be too old. This just isn't Chicago to me. ☹️
Почему же нет русских поклонников? Сильно и технично ребята творят.
Почему же нет Константин,есть и их очень много, You 're not alone ! ✋
I listened to this song so many times and thought i was the only one who thought this was one of their best songs! The instruments, their voices etc so beautifully orchestrated.
You absolutely right Mona Abdulla!!!!👍👍
Love this song
I love how Robert, Bill, and Jason all sing lead on this.
ik hau van if love u so mach gsp yg segalanya
Brilliant song, awesome harmony, arrangement, vocals. Tte horns are incredible (2,04 - 2.42), but 2.24 - 2.42 is symply an orgasmus!
So agree
Damn miss those days of listen to this song in summer of 87. On my Walkman
Me too!
The "One More Day" from THIS "American Ultra" soundtrack post is a different "One More Day" , sung by Bill Champlin who was in Chicago. I have a song on the sound track myself (Bill Burgess) and also play the guitar solo on the Champlin "One More Day". Go to the "OFFICIAL" "American Ultra" Soundtrack to hear the Bill Champlin "One More Day" written by David Kessner.
This song is fantastic! :D
The opening keyboards and the childrens choir are the best lart of this song along with bill champlins vocals
Some of the most underrated music from Chicago, came after Peter Cetera left. Chicago 18,19,21 were just as good, if not better, in some ways than Chicago 17.
This is exactly my sentimental feeling also when i think of my favorite 'Chicago' music.. for me I fell in love with their music starting with 'Chicago 18' which was released in 1986 when i was a young adult listening to this incredible music.. I was so excited to attend the 'Chicago' concert from their 'Victorious Tour' in 1989 in my local city.. the harmony of their smooth vocals along with the horn instruments was absolutely magnificent! I still have that concert t-shirt today as a visual memory.. and have seen 'Chicago' live in concert 2x since then.. always a great show!
Steve Giovanis 21 had Chasin the Wind
kind of makes you wonder if they should have just let Bill do the all the leads after cetera left.
I think was without a doubt the best song on 18. Once again Bill's voice is just simply amazing, as it is on all songs
my all time favourite song. the only one i have never been able to play till i was sick of it. instead i just keep playing it.
This album came out when I was in college. I was a DJ and made sure I played this song. It took off, on campus. It's always been one of my favorites. Thanks for posting!!!
The Lord Jesus spoke to me through this song when I was driving away from Anchorage, Alaska. I turned around and went back to Anchorage, and I preached the gospel on a busy street corner for one more day. The Lord Jesus is amazing!
Thumbs up to that. I'm very partial to the bass part at the end of it - 2:42-2:48. Masterful arranging. It's what I find to be lacking in the majority of music since that era.
I LOVE THIS SONG !!!!!!!!
In memory of the children of Sandy Hook Elementary.
El Duque
Yes, a very sad day indeed, and all the other mass school shooting. Why do children have to pay the ultimate price.
Gosh i haven;t heard this in a million yrs
i haven't heard this song in such a LONG TIME! and i LOVED Chicago 17, 18 and 19! but only had the tapes! great song and the kids at the end of it are great!
David Theisen and 16
Underrated horn break at 2.00 makes this one of more listenable tunes. Great vocals, too.
