Chicago - In Terms Of Two Lyrics

You played the part of this hard to get
And somehow you knew that I couldn't forget
And though I don't think in terms of two
I got it bad for you
And when you passed me along the way
I couldn't speak, so you didn't stay
And though I don't think in terms of two
You're breaking my heart
Shaking me up the part
Breaking my heart
Shaking me up the part again
When it appeared to me I was found
And nothing I did could bring me around
And though I don't think in terms of two
I saw it there in you
So now if you'd only understand
That without you here
I'd be half of a man
And though I don't think in terms of two
You're breaking my heart
Shakin me off the part
Breaking my heart
Shakin me off the part again
Because of you
Because of me
The times are right
I disagree
Before you leave
I want you to see
Woah, what you've done to me

  1. B.... G....

    Peter Cetera......The Voice.

  2. p.... ....

My favorite Chicago song written and sung by Peter Cetera

  3. S.... ....

    Worst harmonica solo ever.

    S.... ....

Some may consider this solo more pleasant than Kath's "Free Form Guitar" on the debut LP.

    S.... ....

Michael Bacon I agree. Not a fan of Terry’s psychedelic sounding guitar solos even though I do love his playing on everything else.

  4. l.... ....

    Delfina Wilson High

  5. T.... B....

A great and vastly underrated song by Chicago.

  6. D.... W....

Should have been a big hit!!!

  7. H.... ....

Gerry Rafferty on the Pedal Steel Gituar….

    H.... ....

I really don't know why, because Cetera could play Pedal Steel, I think it was happenstance that Rafferty was @ Caribou on another session and decided to join.

    H.... ....

    J. G. O’Rafferty, dumbass.

    H.... ....

@Hammer1126 When did Cetera play steel?

    H.... ....

Although not given credit on the linear notes, Peter Cetera did the Pedal Steel on "What Else Can I Say" in Chicago III released in 1971. Which caused me to ask, why he didn't do the Pedal Steel on the Album, since he knew how to, unless his skill was not that of Jerry Rafferty's which was top shelf.

    H.... ....

@Hammer1126 Where did you learn this? Nonetheless, the steel playing on What Else is pretty basic by comparison. And it's James O'Rafferty, not Jerry/Gerry Rafferty.

This is a fun little song.
