Chevelle - Wonder What's Next Lyrics
It sometimes feels like a burden,
I want to succeed,
Is this a good quality,
I wonder what's next,
Nothing.
More and more it's an animal,
Waiting to be seen,
Faced with someone's failures.
A sickening sight, indeed, indeed, indeed.
[Spoken]
In the beginning it seems that no one
Thinks beyond having fun which is why
You write music in the first place always
Moving, refining, pushing forward the art
Time to share it, and then the headaches
Of criticism senior advisors unseen people
Above twisting and distorting that which we
Love, and never ending problems with
Money holding you back preventing progress
I thought you only started 'cause it was fun.
We play the blaming game,
Yes I mind, its not your turn.
We play the blaming game,
Yes I mind, its not your turn.
We play the blaming game,
Yes I mind, its not your turn.
We play the blaming game,
Yes I mind, its not your turn.
I wonder...
I wonder...
What's next.
'Cause we play the blaming game,
Yes I mind, its not your turn.
We play the blaming game,
Yes I mind, its not your turn.
We play the blaming game,
Yes I mind, its not your turn.
We play the blaming game,
Yes I mind, its not your turn.
We play the blaming game...
We play the blaming game.

This whole album rocks! Not one bad song on it
some songs that make you want to destroy something
*when you play Doom*
*beginning riff*
This shit is beyond loud in my headphones! And I like it, God im sick!
@1:30 - Satan standing as tall as the empire state buildings steps out of the ocean, stands over the city and realizes death and murder are good.
I guess it was too obvious to add Tool to this list?

This sounds like i cloudve been on Tools Undertow album. I love it
Kittie toured with this band. Legends! Also, sick riff:)
TO WHOME BUILD ENGINES OR JUST BUILD THINGS TO THIS MUSIC OR EVEN FEEL EVERY SONG!...FUCK THOSE WHO TRY AND MAKE YOU OUT TO BE A BIT UNORMAL EVERYBODY HAS THERE OWN POROGATIVE AND THIS IS MINE!!😜
You can't tell me this doesn't make you think of Slayer, just a little bit. If you're familiar with their singing style and guitar sound
No comparison here. To Slayer? Nowhere near similar. Not in sound not in structure.
This would be my theme when I wake up as ultra instinct vegeta
Can't wait for the new CD to drop!!!!!
one of the best produced albums of that era..this album was SO WELL DONE
I can totally picture this song playing in the new Broly movie
This song is heavier in a way that sounds like Korn, the raspy tone in his scream does reminds me of Jonathen Davis, in a way, but this is as Chevelle as this whole album is in its own blend, & element-wise
this is fucking sex
I was in a Christian drug rehabilitation program once for like 5 months. We weren't permitted to listen to "secular" music. But hey let us listen to this... huh?
I think they use to be consider kind of a Christian band at the time.
So you're here to be free of drug dependence and we can help you.....but we'll control what you can listen to.
Sounds about right to me 🙄
man now a days "we play the blaming game, yes i mind, it's not your turn." kinda weird how accurate this song is in todays topics...
This is one of those songs you wish you wrote.
Urrrgh! So...much...grit to those vocals, and... I love it! 😈 Seems like this song definitely has a bit of a groove metal vibe to it, and nice haunting guitar intro btw. One of Chevelle's hardest hitting tracks thus far.
So stoked to see these guys along with Tool at Aftershock!
+Dr. Mantis Toboggan, M.D. I started out making the mistake of labeling Chevelle as a Tool rip-off when I first heard em. Luckily I came to my senses fairly quickly. lol
Chevelle are monsters in their own right.
When I first heard the album "Wonder What's Next", I though the same thing, but as they progressed as a band, that's when I started noticing that they very much had their own style. What makes it even more impressive is that they are a three piece band. Thanks for the comment.
Wow, this song is so painful to listen to, it downright hurts, like getting an injection in your jaw hurts. You can tell that this band was still in the wearing pull ups stage when it came to make great, cohesive album
this song live is the bomb. Saw it 4 years in a row,, anyone else have fun in the pit durring it as well?
this is so fucking awesome! i love Chevelle <3 can´t believe they don't have more fans
Lili i am 67yrs old and this is the SHIT I love WONDER WHATS NEXT SO FROSTY
I was four wham this came out xD
The beginning riff in the song is one of my favorites ever! And then that sonic bass slide in: whooooomp-GUNG GUNG GUNG GUNG!!!!! hell yes
Excellent sound effects XD
IMO ,the sound effect ,is like ,old ,brittle ,floorboards collapsing ,in a house that’s been abandoned for centuries ,epic riff !
"It sometimes feels like a birdy!!!!"
*burden
It sometimes feels like a birdy it wants to be free!
Can't unhear this now lmfao
Damn you Inspirado.....BAHAHAHA!!!
please tell me I'm not the only one who thinks they are trying too hard to sound like Korn in this song..?
you are dumb loloolol
Not really sound like korn,
Korn have their touch
And chevelle have their touch
It doesnt really sound the same
But it has inflaunces because chevelle also play nu metal "alternative nu metal"
Plus this song is from 2002
Chevelle had such songs in late years of 90s
In my opinion the riff kinda sounds like rammstien song called sonne . idk they sound slightly similar too me
Zero resemblance in my opinion. Otherwise, I wouldn't like the song.
I dont think so shit hits hard tho
I miss This vibe.
Deftones, Chevelle, Taproot, A Perfect Circle, Earshot. Amazing bands!
Raizer Music AND DON'T FORGET: your girl 😈👌✌️🤘
fuck yeahhhh deftones is the shit
Raizer Music don't forget Evans Blue
Raizer Music fuck yes! Couldn't agree more!
where the fuck is breaking benjamin?
The similarity of this and Sonne by Rammstein...
The guitar and the cymbals gives me the chills it's so good xP
I've been a big fan of Chevelle for a while, and I never really appreciated this ENTIRE ALBUM as much as I do now. This song has so much ENERGY... I don't know what it is about it. It's simple, straight to the point, and saturated with emotion. 10/10 will see them in concert every chance I get.
For sure. Original Chevelle before they were over produced
Seen chevelle 4 or 5 times now, never disappoint
awesome at the 2015 Baltimore Shindig
I was there too brother, great set. Was hoping for Family System but have no complaints, they covered all their albums. They honestly never disappoint, that's why we drove 500 miles for them.
+Tim Kelly Did they cover point #1 too?
Nah they didn't man, would of been cool though.
@Tim Kelly
They could at least cover songs under 3 minutes, which the album has many of.
mah fave
anyone else see them at the 98 rockfest last year with a7x? they were awesome
sounds like a staind song
This song was... dissapointing lol. sounds very amateurish.
what should I expect if I listen to heavier stuff.
Not amateur, but I'm used to more dynamic sounds in this genre, favorite being Mudvayne. Some of their other songs are cool though.
Bro...u want heavy shyt
Behemoth.....
Dude..... there a 3 piece. Give credit where credit is due. Pete has also stated that they try not to layer guitars in recording so that it sounds just like when their live. Not to mention this is their first major debut album all the way back in 2002
hah, this demo-riffs are more heavy, chaotic, punishing and gritty, than from studio quality. I want from riffs punishing and chevelle are kings in steady, cutting riffs, with that monstrous bass.
Fuck u dude lol this song hits so hard your mamma felt it...
Can't believe this doesn't have 100k views.
Same!!!
+Dean Bryant It does now :)
does now, haha in 2016
We actually don't wan that many as that would fall into a Sheeple category video :) Next best thing is to have a Zombie Apocalypse as the survivors would primarily be the true Yodas, oh and people that listen to Chevelle :) But yeah, I get your point.
Can't believe this doesn't have 100k views.
the chills in that first minute... greatness
2:05-2:31 is stuck in my head
fucking love this shit!
I wonder whats next?? (nothing)
I do believe "This type of thinking" was next lol. Both great albums.
Great shit!!!
@Famous Huy Vena Sera is better than TTOT imo.
@brandough crox aka ogb i love both albums. TTOT has that guitar mastering that i truly love, amazing bass lines and haunting feel. Vena Sera has monumental bass guitars and more uplifting music for me. love both albums.
This song is agressive as fuck
Most of Chevelle's songs are and it's fucking great.
Ikr I love it!
Nirvana like distortion. Great lyrics and beat. Chevelle is awesome :)
So fucking sick.
