The video is like this to give it a dramatic and an visual effect like you said. It's a good reason why it's like this. To make it one-sided and give the feelings in the song a stronger charisma. If you don't get how the effects are supposed to affect you then don't comment against it x) Atleast that's how it affects me.

Last month, I lost my friend due to alcohol poisoning. Now, I'm losing my aunt to lung cancer... and it hurts. I can't even look at her, knowing that she's suffering.. She's scared..
