I wish Alex would mature with his lyrics a bit. It seems like every facet of their style is tighter on this album.They sound bigger and the screams are mean. But then you read the lyrics and it's like as unimaginative as attila lyrics and fronz does that shit deliberately. Idk, I like this album a lot. They sound as good as ever, I just wish there was a little more depth sometimes.

Tbh I've never entirely listened to Alex for his lyrics. He's a solid vocalist and i love his tone. This album definitely sounds great, its tight, its crisp, and its got everything it needs to be a solid record. Personally, i think Alex was more just trying to drive a more direct point across on this album instead of making it super poetic like My Damnation or Evolve. Desolation of Eden and the Chelsea Grin EP weren't considered dope for the lyrical content, tbh.

good point, my damnation, evolve and especially ashes to ashes all had deep lyrics. This album is supposed to be a liberation effort from all the artistic efforts before, so they can just do whatever the fuck they want
