For clarification, "Deathcore" is a sub-genre of Metalcore"and Death Metal. Deathcore contains Death metal riffs and blast beats as well as the use of metalcore breakdowns, Therefore you get the term "Deathcore". Chelsea Grin like many other bands out there have been labeled as Deathcore regardless if that's what they label themselves as. Some bands totally resent the term Deathcore and hate being labeled as Deathcore. Other bands don't care because they're not insecure about their music. "Death Metal" is it's own genre. "Metalcore" is it's own genre. Deathcore is a mixture of the two but is it's OWN genre. That's the way it's always been. Music keep's evolving. It's not like there was a big bang where all genres of music formed at once, it will continue that way whether we like it or not. 

Deathcore is a mixture of Death metal and Hardcore. Not Metalcore..original Deathcore was heavily influenced and driven by hardcore riffs and breakdowns . just fyi
