Cheap Trick - He's A Whore Lyrics
Have you seen her face
She's got a face that would stop a clock
And with that face I surely won't stop
To look her in the eyes
But her money's green
But she's still so close to my reach
If I call, if I call at all
Any time at all
Any time at all
Any time at all
Any time at all
So the story goes
I think I'll take her for a ride
A giggolo is the only way to go
And So I show my face
And I can even fake a smile
But I'm laughing inside all the while
This little girl
She's a joke
She's a joke
She's a joke
Any time at all
Any time at all
Any time at all
Any time at all
>>>He's a whore, (I'd do anything for money)
>>>He's a whore, (Look at the things that I write)
>>>He's a whore, (Ooo, The stories I can tell)
He's a whore (in the morning, in the night)
I'm a whore (he'll do anything for money)
I'm a whore (look at the clothes that he wears)
I'm a whore (he'll do anything for money
I'm a whore
And so the story goes
I think i'll take her for a ride
With this moneybag by my side
A giggolo is the only way to go
Ooooohhhh
Wo wo-wo
Oooo woo
Oooo oo oo oo

Cheap Trick He's A Whore Comments
This whole album rocks.
OMG. I've been listening to the cover by Big Black for 32 years. Had no idea this was the original version.
Fucking FUCK...
This takes me back to 79, when I discovered them...
I was 13, and crushed like I've never fucking crushed in my life,
over Robin's skinny ass body and perfect frontal bulge.
Oh how I didn't know (too much) then, what I know now about that glorious,
undercover place.
Years of cut pictures from cheesy magazines, and album covers nailed to my teenage bedroom walls and doors, gave me young girl pleasures that I will never forget.
Those eyes, that hair, the voice, my GOD...THAT VOICE!
The humble in him, the boyish innocence...with that fucking bulge...
He knew what he was doing to all of us.
Christ, is this playback?
Favorite tune from the first album.
Motley Crue copies this rift with too fast for love
Michael Tabor, STRAIGHT UP!!! In fact most of the Too Fast For Love album has a heavy Cheap Trick “influence”!
I know a guy who fits this description! LOL
Power pop/pop punk at it's best!
Almost sort of proto punk.
Saw them in Hawaii in 1982!
Rivers is a whore
Ive been looking for this song for 22 years, im 36 now.
Great but bass is too loud
Bad sound quality. Not the original. Listen to another link.
What Kind of song is he's a hore?
I Love Cheap Trick!! 👑⭐✨🌟🌠 ⭐😁
Me too!
the world, including these assholes, never really understood their aesthetic.... perhaps the greatest and misunderstood band in the 1970s.
my sweet 16th daddy gave me this album n a new stereo ..n more
this is the set up they had butukon
new music tip...check out GLITTER DOGS///
70's style melodic rock
Album: COLORS THAT FADE
on YouTube and Spotify
Still great 40 years later
"I'm a WHORE!!"
So many great memories of these Chgo area dates, saw them as much as I could!
This video puts me in a both happy and funny place. Enjoy seeing Robin being called a whore by his "buddies". I might be over the obsessive/ compulsive cliff for Cheap Trick :) Awesomeness!
Sweet addiction
pussy cat tie perfect!
The early Cheap Trick have such a unique, raw sound. I recently went back to listening to songs such as this and am addicted again!
That first album is my favorite from Cheap trick, and has long been one of my favorite albums all-around.
Caevan O'Shite
first album was a masterpiece
My thoughts on early Cheap Trick: "I'm so in love with you again!"
I'll put the Trickster's 1st LP against anything !!!
Truly, "All Killer, No Filler". Pound for pound, CT's debut is one of the best rock records ever
I love this! Tom Petersson was soooo hot back then.
Dayam, they're not really playing this live. Hate that.
So many songs like that on YouTube. Sounds like the studio version playing. I just put my web browser in the background and listen like it's the radio.
This is one of several 'promo' videos they filmed for the first album.
If you're four guys from the Upper Midwest, you've been rockin' the f**k out for the past 40+ years, and you do a song called "He's A Whore," as Dave Letterman always asked, "What more can you ask for?!"
Incredible amount of power!..I still think, that after all this time...people don't realize that THIS is the core of this band! Holy Smokes man..they light it up for sure! Great band..I wore my copy of this out. Not one beat song on the entire first album. Sonically this was pure bashing with so many layers of harmony and energy!. Super job Jack Douglas did. And Tom and that T-Bird are just lethal.
Thanks guys. If it wasn't for cranking your tunes and plucking away at my Memphis Explorer-copy trying to emulate Rick I wouldn't have ended up a happy, experienced musician of 35 years.
Killer video...AND...Tom's rocking a 4-string bass instead of a 12-string one!!!
He loved his Gibson Thunderbird bass. The 12 string would have been a bit hard to play this fast.
This song was way ahead of it's time.
I think it's very of its time, but I mean that in a good way. 1976/77 was a great period for no frills high energy rock n roll. Cheap Trick, AC/DC, and punk bands like the Sex Pistols really shook things up and saved the world from the doldrums of prog and mediocre blues rock. God bless them.
@Otto Acid Watch it there bud, I would never say prog was stagnant. Anything but. Prog is just a bit more complex than your typical generic music. If it's inaccessible, it's only because of attention span and lack of hours actually listening to music. Some people are active listeners and some people are passive listeners. Goes with every territory that is art.
Wow, in a just world, this song and album goes triple platinum and Kiss's Love Gun sells 100 copies. The writing is so smart, the playing great and Robin's vocals are just out of this world. Come to think of it maybe this song is about Kiss??
+lespaulfanofsparta I saw them open for Kiss in 1977 on the Love Gun tour. At first I thought they were going to be thrown off stage. Then they won us over in dramatic fashion. A year later at the Celebrity Theater in Phoenix during the Live At Budokan tour. Then a year after that, in a much larger arena, for Heaven Tonight. I've seen them three times since but 77-79 were the glory days, as they say.
celebrity theater was a badass venue
Love Gun's an awesome album. My favorite Kiss record. Just because it was super successful, doesn't mean that it's not right that Cheap Trick's first record wasn't. It doesn't have to be either/or. In a just world, they both should have sold millions.
Love Gun... doesn't compare to this one song let alone the whole freaking Trick album. Kiss had make up and a great unique style.. pretty much it.
Hilarious. 100 copies...On the devil's advocating hand, if Kiss doesn't take them on that very Tour, they don't get big in Nippon, make at Budokon + break thru like they did. 70's sensations.
HALL OF FAME!!!!!!!
yesss i was there
You were at this video shoot?
Bun E. Carlos Rocks It Out, Nice B.D. intro.
Rick sorta looks like Peewee Herman.... Or that's just me
He looks like Huntz Hall from the Bowery Boys, look him up.
Rockers need to wear more tight pants these days.
Saw these guys two nights in San Fran at the Warfield--AND THEY STILL PHKING ROCK IT!!! They did 5!!!! songs off the first album, including this one!! Robin sounded like he was 25, and looked great! He wore a black leather Dream Police-ish outfit for the whole show, and barely broke a sweat. Seriously, one of the, if not THE greatest Rock band in America History!!!
@darke812 doesn't sweat,so what
Robin cute even in with mullet and form-fitting, salmon-colored slacks.
@simplyscrummy
thats not really a mullet,i think they call that a "prince valiant" hair style, lol
Right? Whatever the hair is called he's rocking it. Stupendous front man.
+gretchen hasse Give it a spike and he would be Rod's American cousin
+Trucker Kev HA you are totally right. But IMHO Robin is the better singer and WAY hotter.
Actually it's considered a "shag" hair cut. They were all the rage in the 70s.
Can't believe these guys aren't in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame! Whats wrong with this world ?
Right?!?!?
+Brian Eaglen They are now
They are!!!
the rnr hall of fame is an f-ing joke anyway.
hahahaha
amazing stuff
this is the music vid
Robin looks like he's escaping witch mountain here.
ease up dude, i don't mean it literally...and it's KARMA not carma
Why do ppl bother with likes or dislikes? You are here because YOU like it.
And 1 more thing: if you wish someone something like "punch in the face",usualy it is you who will get this punch. Carma is a bitch!
I think this was meant to be more of a music video, but yeah it's obviously the album version!
7 people really suck
Is Night Gallery a TV show or the joint in Gurnee, Ill?
love love love these guys!!!!!!
Lip-synching but who gives a fuck?
fantastic. great song
Was this at the Night Gallery in Gurnee?
Everyone's gotta stop this preoccupation w/ the 'dislikes'...maybe they don't like the sound quality or something. yes it's an awesome tune.
what a great video, they are so young here
hee hee!
The first time I saw CT was on July 16, 1977 (about a month and a half before "In Color" came out). They were opening for KISS at the Cow Palace in San Francisco - an evening notable for the fact that Elvis Presley had died earlier that day. What a show!
Which one? The first two LP's were BOTH released in '77! Heh. ;-)
HB Rick
Wow...Night Gallery! What a great place to see bands. There were a lot of great bands in and out of that place. Names I can't even remember now but when you saw Cheap Trick you knew they were the real deal! The best live band...the best sound and always a FUN show! Thanks for posting this! Great to recall those times when live music was king!
it doesnt sound like 70`s......
What a song... what a band!
This is a bonus video on the 2 disc version of the Special One album.
ramones borrowed the riff for 'kkk took my baby away' :)
the guy with the hat is quite a card.
Jesus, this rocks.............
66600 views!! wow 666!
I love Rick Neilsen's insane dork.
Hot Love, He's a Whore, Mandocello, & Oh Candy make Cheap Trick's debut album my FAV!!
@pgrens they change there setlist every other shjow and they played it this summer 2 dates after i saw them i believe
slippydogg, that's funny, and true.
Awesome early performance. Thank you for the dope post!
Bummer that this is a lip-synch of the album cut. I was excited to see it done live. Such a great tune, though, and Nielsen's hilarious and creatively timed antics make up for it. Is there a live version out there?
I was EXTREMELY fortunate to see Cheap Trick perform this & the entire 1st album when they were first starting out at The Paradise in Boston where I live. Plus, I was directly against the stage. Have ALL their 'stuff' and have seen them MANY times, but I have to say the 1st album IS their Masterpiece.
@Splimis Agree with you 110% !!!
Love cheap trick, check out my video for Auf Wiedersehen youtube.com/watch?v=gmm3V1IWdJY&feature=related
I really wish Cheap Trick had continued in the style of their first two albums. Oh well, I still like the poppy-er stuff from time to time, but this was my favorite record by them. Self titled I believe.
me too....
@metull666
Albini is definitely a producer, he just doesn't like the term.
This is the tour I saw them booed off the stage opening for KISS. I immedeatly went out and bought all their albums (2) and they have been one of my favorite bands every since. And they still rock!
This is awesome! I think it's a lip sync actually, sounds just completely exactly like the album cut. But still, great!
when they came out it awsome extreem pop rock , i saw them 7 time and lve it
Really Cool. I Was There That Night.
@drfred1203
And he produced Cheap Trick too. I was very sad they didn't play this the other night when I went to see them play.
@8angst8 a 12 y/o? flmao. I never liked this kind of music growing up and was expressing that I liked this song. I also introduced another band that people who are looking for something different may find interesting as well. You didn't do that. You had a chance to say ... well, if you liked that then you should try this song or band... but instead you spew off at the mouth and talk offensively to me. WTF?
@drfred1203 RE: "Thanks to Big Black I actually like some Cheap Trick..." What are you, a 12-year-old kid? If you're serious about music, gotta go back to the core, not the latter-day covers.
Thanks to Big Black I actually like some Cheap Trick. For those who don't know... look up Big Black "He's A Whore" ... it emphasizes the power of this song 10 years later after Cheap Trick got all popped out. Big Black's lead singer is Steve Albini. He produced bands like Iggy Pop, Sonic Youth, the Pixies and Nirvana to name some bands you may recognize.
This KICKS SO much ASS!! Showing that they WERE a HEAVY ROCK BAND in the 1st release,.......power poppy soupy after that.......
Best American hard rock album of the '70s? Probably. The best Aerosmith albums and this monster? Jack Douglas should be proud. A Thunderbird bass in the hands of Tom is a beautiful thing indeed.
whoever is the 1 dislike needs to be punched in the face...
@mikeuriah80 Ha ha but he IS a whore. :)
Listen Radio Música para Mimos. The Best Songs of Love . Its Great .!!! (search in Google)
Damian West is a bender
@BubbleSheep Sorry. Don't agree. But I respect your opinion of that JERK.
@mikeuriah80 Nothing Vince does is of any value.
He is a whore, an a good one too! ;)
It's so cool to see footage of the guys performing "He's A Whore". I've heard it on "Found All The Parts" but never saw the video. AWESOME!
