Charley Pride - Lord, Build Me A Cabin In Glory Lyrics

Many years I've been looking for a place to call home
But I failed to find it so I must travel on
I don't care for fine mansions on earth's sinkin' sand
Lord build me a cabin in the corner of Gloryland

Lord build me just a cabin in the corner of Gloryland
In the shade of his tree of life that it may ever stand
Where I can hear the angels and shake Jesus' hand
Lord build me a cabin in the corner of Gloryland

Listen Lord I'm not askin' to live in the midst
For I know that I'm not worthy of such splendor as this
When I ask him for mercy while humbly I stand
Lord build me a cabin in the corner of Gloryland

Yes build me just a cabin in the corner of Gloryland
In the shade of his tree of life that it may ever stand
Where I can hear the angels and shake Jesus' hand
Lord build me a cabin in the corner of Gloryland

I've many dear loved one's who've gone on this way
On the grapevine of mournin' shall I hear them all say
Come and join in our singin' and play in our band
Lord build me a cabin in the corner of gloryland

Yes build me just a cabin in the corner of Gloryland
In the shade of his tree of life that it may ever stand
Where I can hear the angels and shake Jesus' hand
Lord build me a cabin in the corner of Gloryland

Forever dollar that's given to this fun it will be matched you can see that on my Facebook that a lot of charitable organizations will add to any dollar that is donated to any charitable position and I believe that a log cabin Society for America would be the best solution to the problem

  5. Douglas Hagan

I'm going to take some land and build some log cabins for the homeless in a new community in America they deserve Dentistry it is served clean clothes and food I think that's a modest statement we live here in America the Beautiful

Southern Gospels make you want to dance while praising Jesus

    Buddy Bramlett

William Stritzinger - well if you dance with the INFILLING OF THE SPIRIT, I feel that would be permissible. 👌

life would so much better if we could go back about 40yrs when people helped each other instead of using people they way they do now family values seen to be a thing of the past. it's really sad

    restlessinamsterdam

+Shiela Foster Helping people can be also done in this time, it is just a matter of seeing who needs a little help and that can be enough. Some people seem to be invisible, specially people who live on the streets, old people who can't work anymore, give them a dollar or an euro or whatever, or wherever...it isn't enough what we can do as one person...but if we'd all think and do that way, that person who lives on the streets will get more to buy him or herself something to eat to get through the day. Maybe that would make life a little better at least.

I love this song as well.  I looked it up on Youtube.  My mama has dementia and I wanted to know all the words so I could sing it to her.  Your name reminds me of Kenya.  Would you be Kenyan?  I was there in 2012.  I will go back to volunteer next year.  What a beautiful country.  I hope you don't mind that I asked.  Mungu akubariki, dada yangu. (God bless you, my sister)
