Bought the Rick and Morty soundtrack on vinyl. In addition to a number of hilarious tracks on there, there were some really great real songs included, like the ones from this band. I'm a die-hard metalhead, and these guys caught my attention. There's something very unique about this band, their music is so simple, but so beautiful. Oh shit, are people gonna know I'm enjoying softer music???...uhhhh..err.... FUCKIN SLAYER

I like to think that each song on the Chaos Chaos EP Committed to the Crime could apply to one member of the Sanchez-Smith family from Rick and Morty. I think the night light is the person they love in their bed but even this person's light can't keep the shadows away, the shadows being the monsters in the singers head. I think the are you okay part of the hook is their lover asking them and the singers response is the monsters in my head line

not pointing out the obvious makes my interpretation surface level? The singer brings up a promise twice in the song--once of the subject not crying, and one of the subject breaking his/her promise. It's not that hard to put two and two together.

I'm talking about the *implied* promise here, not the one that was spelled out for the listener. Why did the subject of the song cry after he/she attempted to kiss her? Why was there nothing to regret before that act? Why did the singer want him to have stayed home that night?

Yeah like most people, found through Rick and Morty. I think this would have been a more fitting song for the end of episode 3 than "Do you feel it".

The song is to underline Rick's desire to commit suicide and to sympathise with feeling like you never truly fit in and aren't needed. Not to emphasise his love for unity.

@upsidedowndragon I wasn't talking about It being an reference to Rick. They just used the song for the sake of adding In an emotional affect to the audience. Hurt kinda connects to Rick more anyways.
