I want to believe in God so badly but I can't

Yes God is real, but you have to realize Jesus died for sinners & we are all sinners. The only way I know to connect with God is through emotions, and what many people call our chakaras. For the world was corrupt long ago from thee ancient serprent, our sins stop many of us from seeing the truth of who we really are & where we really came from, God and the Archangels will never force no one to worship or believe in God, because God's love is like a caring father, if that father raises a child righteously & the child rebels and runs away, the father does not try to stop his child from rebelling, just as God had not stopped Adam & Eve from rebelling against God. The evil taught to us by the ancient fallen ones blinds so many of us from finding the true word of God, but all you need do is ask, for God created the world and universe with the help of a female spirit called wisdom; what many Native Americans refer to as mother earth & wisdom does not defile herself into sin, wisdom is like a very sensitive and fragile female, if you approach her carefully & slowly, thus she will come to you.. Archangel Uriel is the angel of wisdom & is the one who helps God's children find their true father. All the evil may make it seem God is not real but in Ancient scripture, God said it would happen, that humans would rule earth under Lucifer's and the fallen one's influence, & the fallen ones will try to lead humanity astray from God, they will use science and technology, & lies to make society not believe in God, all this is prophesized thousands of years before it happened, how God said more than half the world will live poorly, & that there will be famine and war everywheres and talk of war, how many countries will try to turn on Israel to stop Jesus's second coming, but they will fail to do so and will be judged. Soon there will be war and God will cast the final judgment by fire, but he said not until the offspring of the Ancient Hebrews weren't slaves anymore, and of course the civil war ended slavery in a sort of way but God had said they were to be enslaved for 400 years, & when that time is up God will cast judgment by fire. 2019 is the 400th year of slavery for the African people, the very first slaves were brought to new land in 1619. God said that Hebrew slaves will be brought to new land unknown, which is north and south america. God is supposed to show us signs before his return and anyone who truly follows God knows thoes signs.. I pray for anyone who reads this that you may find peace within and turn to God when the time is right.

I think that the point of this song is that we don't know. Nor believers or atheists have the proof so maybe we should all just calm down and realise that we have no clue.

There must be a God for this universe as a "Creator". There are plenty of evidences for that. If there are plenty of circumstantial evidences to prove one matter and if the deniers have only one argument to deny that, then the matter is automatically proved to be. There are plenty of evidences to prove the existence of God, but the opponents, the atheists have only one point, that they are not seeing the God. That is a poor situation of atheists. Let us check some of the evidences for God:

1) Nothing is created by itself, so the universe must be created by a Creator.

2) Nothing is created from emptiness by itself, so the universe must be created by a Creator.

3) There should be a reason for everything. The universal happenings are a chain of reasons. So, if we go back to time and count every reason for every incident, then we will finally reach the ultimate reason and that is God. Beyond that there will not be any reason as it is the last and permanent reason. The God is the reason which was here forever and which will be here forever and thus God is the constant/ permanent reason. The universe actually requires a permanent or constant reason because without a permanent/constant reason, all other reasons will be illogical and that's why there must be a God.

4) Everything in this universe is in a perfect order and with perfect design and in perfect planning. This cannot be done without a Master Mind.

5) All creatures are given their own specifications and their own purposes. This also cannot be possible without a Programmer behind all these. For eg: The bees are making perfect hexagons for millions of years and if there was not a Programmer, this would not have been possible. It is also noted that those peculiarities of creatures do not change even after millions of years and it indicates that somebody has deliberately fixed those specifications. If everything were a coincidence and every creatures were evolved through evolution, automatically, then those peculiarities would tend to change from time to time, from herd to herd, from place to place and from creature to creature. But instead, a peculiar function is given to each creature and that function do not change even after millions of years, which means those functions are programmed and being watched by somebody.

6) The universe is expanding rapidly, breaking all the material laws and that is not possible without a Willing Force behind that . According to scientists, the universe should have stopped the expansion and must have started reduction by this time , but actually the opposite is happening. This means 'somebody' is deliberately pulling the universe . The unidentified mysteries named as dark matter, dark energy etc point to the existence of God actually, whether the science world approve it or not.

7) Among billions of creatures, only the humans have wisdom, ability to think, fully fledged feelings and creativity and that points to the factor that we are specially designed and created and that leads to a Planning Creator. If everything were a coincidence, then there should have been more creatures with wisdom which is almost same to humans or more than humans.

8) All peculiarities of the Earth and the surroundings are accurately and proportionately designed as if somebody has deliberately planned this planet to hold the wonder of life in it , such as the distance of Earth from Sun and Moon, the masses of Earth, sun and the moon, the accurate slope of the Earth’s axis, the sizes of Earth, Sun and the Moon, the proportion of oxygen, nitrogen, co2 etc in the air, the cover of our atmosphere from the space, the electro-magnetic power, the gravity etc of Earth and so on . We can see that if any of these arrangements were not in the current proposition, all the other arrangements would have been in vain and then sustaining of life would not have been possible here.

9) Eventhough , the Earth and the surroundings are in accurate condition to hold the wonder of life, scientists say that life could not be possible to originate here by itself. Evenif all the fundamental criteria for life are arranged artificially, life cannot be formed automatically. They are saying that life belongs to some other world and that surely points out to the fact that life is divine and not created materially and that leads to the role of a Creator . Some scientists say that life came here through meteors , but that is a nonsense because then also the question of '' how life originated ' remains and there is no chance for life to sustain in a burning meteor.

10) The impossibility of probability. The probability of happening of everything in the perfect order, in the perfect design, in the perfect numbers etc by mere coincidence is an absolute ZERO. . Even the possibility of a single atom to form automatically is zero , then how this entire universe can be , that too in the perfect manner? So obviously, there must be a Creator.

11) Matters such as mind, wisdom, thinking, life, soul, imaginations, dreaming, future forecasting, unbelievable abilities , Angels visuals, demons visuals, demons possession , various unsolved mysteries, strange happenings, haunting and so many such things cannot be proved by science. That means there is a strange world out there and that is entirely different from this material world. That means there is an immaterial world and that points to the existence of God and supernatural things.

12) The worldwide belief of God. If there was no God , it was not possible for the belief in God to be found in every humans, every countries, every corners, every races, every sectors and so on. That means God's belief was spread to everyone, everywhere, regardless of any differences.

13) The genetic feature of every human to believe in a supernatural power . Every human feels that there is a Super Power over him or her and it points out that the Creator has paved that conscious in our genetic codes. Atheists and materialists just ignore that feeling deliberately.

14) The reality of Messengers of God in the history. Nobody can deny the fact that there were a group called the Prophets who transmitted the messages from an outside world to the people of Earth. For eg: Abraham, Noah, Moses, Jesus, Muhammed etc. We can be sure about them from history and there are even written texts and other archaeological evidences to prove them. Many of them have even changed and split the history. It is absolute foolishness to close our eyes towards such real and influential persons. The last Prophet Muhammad lived in the limelight of history and his life is recorded by thousands of men, accurately.

15) Though there are differences in the various religions of the world, we can see a wonder that all these religions say about a Supreme Power, an Almighty, A One God . This points out to the fact that all these religions were separated or originated from a source religion which say only about this Supreme One God. This points to the reality of a true God. Different religions occurred only due to the wrong hand works of the humans.

16) Today many scientists and atheists believe in a nature force who create and control everything in this universe. They have no other way, because as far as they penetrate in to the universe, everything is seen against their atheistic views. So, they are forced to admit that there is a nature power, but due to their pride, they are not accepting that power as God . This is a strong evidence for God.

So, from all these, we can be sure that there must be a Planner, Designer, Organizer and Creator for the universe. All evidences are pointing towards that. However may we close our eyes towards the naked truth, it will be there, smiling at us. When this many evidences are there to support the existence of God, it is the duty of every wise person to believe in God, especially when the atheists have only one point – that they are not seeing the God. That’s just a poor argument and we can just ignore that.

Oh, not forgetting the same old question of the atheists and materialists, that if everything was created by God, then who created the God? Simple, nobody created God, because He is the God !!! He was here all the times and He will be here all the times and that's why He is called the God, The Almighty. If we can believe , everything originated by themselves, from emptiness, without any force, without any inspiration, and everything developed in a perfect manner automatically without a single mistake , then why it is so hard to believe that there is a Creating Force who is behind everything ? It is not a wonder that we cannot see God, because we are stuck in this universe and the Creator is beyond this universe, because only a Force beyond this universe can build this universe. So, if we have to see the God, we have to travel beyond this universe which is never possible in this material world. It is possible only if we reach the immaterial world after death . So, no scope for atheists.

Well I literally have over 30 reasons of how I can disprove his existence, and if I did exist why doznt he help anybody? Is he picky? If only seen one miracle in my life one man went from homless to rich, yet that caused over 50+ people to lose money? A lot of it.... why doznt he gel everone I ink he has the power if I does exist?

Either you believe in something or you don't, you can't actually believe in it in one location and not in another, based upon who you're around, without being severely mentally disturbed. I have loved Kasey's music since she came to the music scene in the late 1990's. I think she is a very talented songwriter. I also like that her voice is unique. I wish she got more recognition. Everyone is too busy listening to Taylor Swift or Beyonce or Lady Gaga. I can't stand them.

I love this song, it really speaks to me, but the video misses the point and diminishes the song. The song is about struggles of faith, prayer, and the significance of the individual in a world where nobody can know the answers to questions about God. In contrast, the video is about divorce, and how kids deal with diverging parents, which has no part in the song. On the upside, the kid does a nice job, reminds me a little of Brad Pitt.

+rabago69627 hey man, i see what you're saying, but i recently saw Kasey live and she spoke about this song. Kasey's son Talon lives with both his mum and his dad, as they've split up. She was raised in a very religious household, whereas her husband isn't religious at all. This song came about because she wondered if her son believed in God, and what he thought of religion. When she asked him, he simply said "I believe in God when I'm at mum's, and when I'm at dad's, I don't." :)

Im only 1 stupid fallible guy but a simple google search of "is belief a choice" will show you a consistent answer by people WAY smarter than myself giving you a better answer. spoiler alert , their answer is also No to belief as a choice.

You say belief is not a choice. I think scripture teaches that. Have a look into the doctrine of election. Have a look at John 3:16 and see if you can work out who the "whosoever" spoken of in that verse is.
