Cetera, Peter - Wild Ways Lyrics

You and me
We were the last of the line
Young and free
We were two of a kind

We ran the streets together
The night would last forever
Oh do you remember when

Whatever happened to our wild ways
The hungry beat of our younger days
We swore we'd never let them get away
But so long to our wild ways

You and me
Driving to the ocean at night
Running free
Trying to stay ahead of the light

The road ran through the morning
Time passed without a warning sign
Oh we were the reckless kind

Whatever happened to our wild ways
The hungry beat of our younger days
We swore we'd never let them get away
But so long to our wild ways

Baby we could be free once again
I'll take you away from this town
You know I won't let you down
You know I won't let you down

Whatever happened to our wild ways
The hungry beat of our younger days

We swore we'd never let them get away
But so long to our wild ways

  4. P.... L....

High school romance came and went, after I graduated in 1993. I can't bring those days back, because I obviously moved on.

  5. M.... E....

Top to bottom this is Cetera's best album. I don't think I skip one song on the entire 11 or so songs.

  6. M.... C....

Bill Champlin, his wife Tamara, and Peter's brother Kenny Cetera are also on this track. This was IMO Peter's best solo album, he really knocked this one out of the park. Great album, great track, great voice.

  7. P.... L....

I got some of Peter Cetera CDs. This song was on Warner Bros. Records. That was after I met Tiffany though.

  8. M.... d....

    Linda esta musica! Adorooooo!!!!!!!!

  9. R.... G....

I'd forgotten this track. Tend to remember "Restless Heart", "World Falling Down", "Dip Your Wings", and "Have You Ever Been In Love" off the album cause those are my favorites on "World Falling Down".

    Ah Just Brilliant... Great song

  13. A.... ....

Damn, take me to that era where songs and musics were awesome.

  14. m.... ....

So, is this song called Wild Ways or Your Wild Ways?

    m.... ....

mestersen Originally, by the time Mark Free's demo version recording the song was initially called Your Wild Ways. When Cetera acquired the rights to record it officially on his record, it was renamed and released as Wild Ways!

    m.... ....

    mestersen Wild Ways.

  15. J.... ....

I'm tiring to see if there is a bad tune on this album. No luck so far.

  18. M.... B....

Another great song by Peter Cetera. takes me back.

  19. S.... B....

Oh well, I guess we all have different point of views and that's how it should be otherwise the world would be a pretty boring place :)

  20. R.... B....

I think Bill Champlin was a poor fit with Chicago because he basically filled the same role as Robert Lamm, playing keyboards and singing harmonies with Pete. Lamm was really shoved into the background as a result. You want to talk about two voices in synergy? Lamm and Cetera were great together in "Saturday in the Park" and "Does Anyone Really Know What Time It Is?"

  21. R.... B....

Have a hard time seeing where you draw "power" and "passion" from Mark Free's effeminate, raspy voice. A poor man's Richard Marx on estrogen? Stick with the Peter Cetera version, for God's sake.

  22. r.... ....

If you pay a closer attention on the description of the video, you'll notice that I share that info. By the way, Mark's version was the real inspiration behind this video upload. I guess most of people recognize Mark's version more rather than Cetera's. Lol! Just wanted this lovely song to be heared in its entirety here on YT. But thanks, for taking time to comment and share your thoughts too, Somogiy Beata. Cheers!

  23. S.... B....

Mark Free did antoher version of this song. Actually the demo of it. This one is not bad but I prefer Mark Free's more. More passion and power.

    S.... B....

I agree, Cetera though a good singer somehow removes all passion out of this song. Imagine that, an old demo being the better version but it happens sometimes.

  24. J.... c....

    No you are Beautiful.

  25. k.... ....

Nice to hear former Chicago bandmate Bill Champlin on background vocals.

  26. D.... R....

I loved Cetera's work with Chicago and have not followed his solo career closely after this album . But, this is an enjoyable song, good harmony and always loved his voice. Thanks for posting!
