I'm so glad I found this.. I am African American and my step grandmother is of Irish descent. but she is and always have been a grandmother to me more then my own grandmother who shares my blood. When I was little, she would play this song on tv and I'd always remember imagining my self of going on a journey! I would climb up the rocks where she lived on The mountainside and I remembered her scolding and her scared face when I jumped from place to another. but I'd always tell her "grandma I'm going to the heartland!" I just feel a connection with this beautiful song and I'm so happy I came to this. So I will call my grandma like I do every day to tell her I found the Heartland.

I’m from South Africa and due to various things and a 16yr old heart condition I am always looking for ways to uplift myself. Celtic Thunder and Celtic Woman were played for me when I almost never made it through an attack. Thunder and Woman are brilliant and I am absolutely addicted to them. Even as a child I have always loved Ireland, Scotland and places like that. Keep at it Thunder and Woman, even when I’m gone, I’ll be watching from the heavens. Just a pity I will never get to meet you

Ya know, up here in the Great White North, KCTS (Seattle) publick TV was the first contact of CThdr. for me, several years ago. I suspect were it not for PBS, the lads would not be as well known as they are today. Good on them, and PBS !!

This makes me feel at home. Most of my family originated from Ireland and even though I never lived there I still feel my Irish roots. I would love to move to Ireland!

Put more of Ur CD's out at Wal-Mart, prefer the DVDs but will settle for Ur CD's. U all are excellent U all deserve to sell Worldwide from stores. Some of us liv w/o credit cards & debit cards, but can buy faster if mor was soled at Wal-Mart of Glen Carbon, I"LL.

Celtic Thunder are my new favorites - I have 7 of their cds, and can't get enough of them! Even though I can't understand some of the music, I found the lyrics on their website and it explains it all I signed up for their newsletter - love it! Wish I could go on the Celtic Thunder Cruise - yep It is bound to be awsome!

I disagree I think their accent is really prevalent. It is part of their sound and what makes them unique. Why else would they call themselves Celtic Thunder if they were attempting to hide their heritage. Lots of singers are trained to have "generic" accents but I think Celtic Thunder really showcases the beauty of the Irish accent. Lots of these songs wouldn't sound right without it.

My uncle's brother -in-law has this show on DVD. I watched this with my uncle, his wife and his brother in law. They are very good performers. :)

I have noticed that in most of the ensembles, Keith sings harmony and does it beautifully ! You have to have a special kind of ear to do that.
