Cattle Decapitation - In The Kingdom Of The Blind, The One-Eyed Are Kings Lyrics

If it were within, within our power
Beyond the reach of slavish pride
To no longer harbour grievances
Behind the masked opportunist's facade

We could welcome the responsibility
Like a long-lost friend
And re-establish laughter
In the dolls' house once again

For time has imprisoned us
In the order of our years
In the discipline of our ways
And in the passing of momentary stillness

We can see our chaos in motion
Our chaos in motion
We can see our chaos in motion
View our chaos in motion

And the subsequent collisions of fools
Well-versed in the subtle art of slavery

Its a cover. The style is great, and they did it well. But i get opeth vibes

  12. b.... 1....

In my opinion this is beautiful
The melodics are perfect and the clean vocals are great
    The instrumental is great too
I would love to see more of this on a ep or the next album which is going to be quite windy lol

  14. M.... L....

This is the same band that used to make songs about gargling on pus

    M.... L....

And crabs with tentacles stabing your testicles.

    M.... L....

And felching the god damn sphincter

  15. S.... C....

Who the hell thumbed this down?

    S.... C....

Alex Nourse those dislikes are wack ha

    S.... C....

@Alex Nourse think it's a pre-order exclusive.. I have it as a bonus on my CD thankfully or I would've missed it.

    S.... C....

The song sucks, wtf us this, disturbed?

    S.... C....

    Godsmack?

    S.... C....

Whover did it, i assume they are in the thumbnail now

You know, once you listen to the whole album front to back and understand the concept, this would make for the true ending to the story. From Monolith to Death Atlas, the story seemed to be a look into the future. With this cover in mind though, it makes the story seem like a warning while this drives in the "if we did this, things will be better".

I dont know if im making sense but I feel this is the true ending to the apocalyptic story Travis and company gave us.

    J.... C....

That's exactly what I felt about it. It has more of a guilt ridden and misanthropic feel than albums prior.

    J.... C....

@Wonder Guy there's almost a sense of dread on this album

    J.... C....

I had a similar thought. This is dead on. A perfect closer.

  17. D.... ....

I know Travis Ryan has a very varied vocal range (I think he's one of the best vocalists in metal atm), and I know he done all male vocals on the album.. But can anyone confirm if the actual clean vocals on this cover are his too? If so.. Well fuck me!

    D.... ....

I suppose yes, if you take into account that he also sang cleans on Death Atlas and One Day Closer to the End of the World.

    D.... ....

    Yes it’s him

    D.... ....

Also, on the song Ave Exitium from Anthropocene. That was one of my favorite songs on that album, even though it was just an intro track for Pacific Grim. His cleans are unique and eerie.

    D.... ....

His clean are good. There are guest vocals (although maybe just spoken word) from the drummer from Phish (weird right) on Death Atlas somewhere

    D.... ....

kris garrett before death atlas I think that’s fishman

  18. V.... ....

When he told me they were doing this I got all giddy They fukn killed this.

    V.... ....

I'm not crying YOURE crying! *sniff *wipes tear

    V.... ....

Scientist Chicago yeah I’m crying 😭

    V.... ....

    Me too dammit

  19. J.... N....

    Not bad by any means.

  20. G.... G....

Is it possible to get mp3 version of this? I've been searching for the 2 bonus tracks for a week.

    G.... G....

    G.... G....
