Sorry, but in the lyrics it's not "you can free and tell her" but "you can flee in terror". Also "solve the riddle". Instead of "Hey, it's just my right", it is "it's just not right". And most likely "soul for a smile" instead of "sold for a smile" .

muxux4 David wore glamorous garb and this fits with the song and era - he is a fashion stud!
That suit and scarf would never be a personal choice ;) but Cassidy pulls it off. I mean the guy was so beautiful, he'd look great in anything. And I love the way he offsets the glitz of the clothes with a pair of scruffy sneakers.
One of my favorites but better from "The Higher you Climb" album. It shows the pain he endured.
