The strawberry cake song represents every American worker who struggles to get by, and is shut out of the prosperity that their own labor gives to others. Stealing the cake is the defiant, but short-lived gesture of guerrilla class warfare that we all wish we had the guts to do, but fear the consequences. Because in real life you usually don't get to sit under a bush and enjoy the cake. Instead you are punished, while the people who stole your labor stay rich.

This is a really nice story, but it would have been nice if he had given that guy the cake instead of writing a song.

He actually did give the guy some food, he's just too humble to say it on this show.
