Cash, Johnny - No One Will Ever Know Lyrics

No one will ever know my heart is breaking
Although a million teardorps start to flow
I'll cry myself to sleep and wake up smiling
I'll love you but no one will ever know

I'll tell them we grew tired of each other
And that I was glad the day you set me free
I'll even make believe I never loved you
And no one will ever know the truth but me

I'll tell them we grew tired of each other
And that I was glad the day you set me free
I'll even make believe I never loved you
And no one will ever know the truth but me

  1. M.... O....

Hank Williams version of the song was just too depressing. He took it up a notche, but still a bluesy tune.

Awesome!  I remember buying it at a used record store, and the guy behind the counter was like, "Why did they draw his face like that?!"  Pretty funny, but it has a strong sound!

+DarthSeptic he was on pills pretty bad then he looked like a wreck so they put a drawing there instead of a pic

Thanks for putting up this record. It was the first Johnny record I bought for myself (as opposed to plundering my parents record collection) when I was in high school. It's one of his most underrated and holds together in spite of being a compilation as you said.

Boom chick boom chick boom chick and no one will ever know the truth but me! Love that simple Luther Perkins picking,

  14. D.... ....

It was released in 1966, however the album is sort of a compilation of unreleased songs, as recordings for some of the songs began as early as 1962. It is a rare gem, for sure!

  15. D.... ....

Aw, I'm sure he'll forgive them, he was the forgiving type. Thanks for the comment! If you have any request from his huge catalog of music, let me know. My other channel JohnnyCashFan66 has a lot more good stuff.

@Katietoo You're very welcome! On this album Cash did go back to some of his Sun sound and he even re-recorded "Guess Things Happen That Way."

  21. K.... ....

Wow, love this version, but there again, in my ears, Johnny Cash can sing no wrong! Love this early? recording, sounds like his Sun days. Thnx for upload.
