Cash, Johnny - He Turned Water Into Wine Lyrics

He turned the water into wine he turned the water into wine
In the little Cana town the word went all around that he turned the water into wine
Well he walked upon the Sea of Galilee he walked upon the Sea of Galilee
Shouted far and wide he calmed the raging tide and walked upon the Sea of Galilee
He turned the water into wine...
He healed the leper and the lame he healed the leper and the lame
He said go and tell no man but they shouted it through the land
That he healed the leper and the lame
He turned the water into wine...
He fed the hungry multitude yes he fed the hungry multitude
With a little bit of fish and bread they said everyone was fed
He fed the hungry multitude
He turned the water into wine...

Love for God must go beyond love for man and all that this world represents, it must also separate itself from its false beliefs that have been orchestrated by the religions, the traditions the political cults that have lent so much confusion to Fermenting a knowledge that leads only to the ignorance of pure divine truth. Men only justify themselves by using passages from the Bible, but the true Word of God is in us all who do the will of God through the Spirit of Truth and even without knowing the verses of the Bible we know that this Love for God is superior to all other loves. Read this book (Voir Dieu) by Janko and Livin from Wirsberg free on the internet in pdf to understand this Love of God, seek the Truth and you will become free to all who understand his words with the eyes of the heart

Incorporate it in to your daily prayers. I sing this in my head during the luminous mysteries of the rosary. If they don't sing it at mass there's nothing saying you can't sing it at home and in the car. Worship always and never cease praying.

  45. c.... l....

it's really was a great moment to see Johnny sings all those beautiful songs and maybe these songs change their lives...

    j.... ....

THAT IS SUNG ABOUT. THE LITTLE BROWN CHURCH IN THE VALLEY. CHURCH IN THE WILDWOOD. ANDY GRIFFITH KILLS IT.

  50. d.... ....

I agree. If i could be invisible, walk through walls and have the ability to time travel, i'd first go to Folsom to see his first concert, then after the show i'd go to 1969 to see this concert! Just you wait!!! One day we will have that technology! See ya there!

  51. f.... ....

@r95rdstr Cool, I'll need to check both of those out. I've read 3 biographies of the man in black, but some of the details aren't so fresh in my memory.

  52. f.... ....

@mppsproductions Agreed, if I had a time machine and could go back in time one, of my first 'destinations' would be one of the Johnny Cash prison concerts!

  53. f.... ....

@r95rdstr True, they were very well suited to each other. I presume you've heard the background to the song Ring of Fire?

  54. f.... ....

@TheEmpiricalTruth It's true that some of the greatest art has emerged from terrible situations and it'd interesting to speculate whether such fine music could ever arise from a more peaceful harmonious situation... I think though, that historically, concerts such as this will always stir peoples emotions.

  55. m.... ....

    amazing

  56. n.... ....

@sonvolt48 Agreed. He is a very complex man. I may not like or agree with the religiousity but I love his music and will continue to do so.

  57. s.... ....

@nett103 Nor was I. I have done a little research on Cash's religion and it does seem that he and June were born-again, Zionist types. After June's death....hard to say. But, as one writer said "he was an enigma...a paradox of the sacred and the profane." I think I will just continue to admire him as that...a very complex man.

  58. n.... ....

@sonvolt48 "just a hunch based on some of his final songs (eg. Hurt). Great man, great artist."
From your previous comment, you made it seem like Cash wrote HURT since you called it his song. I was just saying that he didnt write it so it may not completely and accurately reflect his faith.
I wasnt trying to start an argument.

  59. n.... ....

@finlarg Agreed. He has done some amazing covers through the course of his career. "Hurt" is probably my favorite cover Cash did.

  60. i.... ....

    @finlarg very nice,, thanks,,

  61. f.... ....

@nett103 Cash covered a multitude of songs, some of them not religious at all. He was attracted to the music, the emotion and the stories, yet he always made them his own...

  62. s.... ....

@nett103 And do you think that he didn't make the decision to cover that NIN song?

  63. f.... ....

@itsasin1969 Not at all! But some of his music stirs me in a way that some people might describe as religious, but I know it's not. Even some of his highly religious songs, like this one and Where you there when they crucified my Lord? are like great stories to me... like Lord of the Rings or similar works of fiction.

  64. f.... ....

@sonvolt48 Mine was Folsom Prison Blues, but there are so many 'wrong' versions floating around that it took me a while to figure out the correct chords.

nett103 is right, Hurt was written by Trent Reznor. Cash was a very strong believer and I doubt his faith was shaken, even with the death of June, shortly before his own.

  65. n.... ....

@sonvolt48 Hurt was actually written by Trent Reznor of Nine in Nails. So I dont necessarily that reflects Cash's faith.

  66. s.... ....

Ring of Fire was the first song I learned on the guitar! I think that near the end of his life he was losing his religion...just a hunch based on some of his final songs (eg. Hurt). Great man, great artist.

  67. i.... ....

Nice, just as long as you don’t believe that such bronzed-age myths are real.
