Cars, The - It's Only Lyrics
and the falls and the walls you think about it
and the calls and it crawls away
and you know that there's much to do about it
and you're caught in the ricochet
sometimes we just want to feel so electrified
it's only, yeah it's only to please the eyes and plague the heart
fun flicks and the trick you knew about it
dead bolts and a weird ways
and the times and the rhymes you knew about it
and the crimes they just fade away
sometimes we just walk away from delirious skies
it's only, yeah it's only to please the eyes and plague the heart
and now I see the ones you want
and I know the ones you share
and you deceive the ones you dare
and the drift and the gift they give to you
and it turns to another day
and the mess and the stress you feel about it
it fades away
sometimes we just walk away from delirious skies
sometimes we just want to feel so electrified
it's only, yeah it's only to please the eyes and plague the heart

Cars, The It's Only Comments
Also has a bit of Strap Me In vibe at the beginning.
Damn! Benjamin would have been excellent for this song! R was OK--not as twangy as he's been in the past, but I hear a lower register which just speaks Benjamin to me.
Bien en esta canción el guitarra elliot Easton !!!!
RockHall.com/Vote #TheCars RRHoF nominee 2018
great tune even though no guitar solo
The cars lost a lot after the bass player
Benjamin Orzechowski died.. And it really shows in their new music.. RIP
Benjamin Orzechowski
Some bands retire after the loss of a member. Some carry on and grow old with their fans,....many of whom still appreciate their efforts.
I could see myself listening to this in 1981-82 in Tucson az in junior high thanks for post
Great beats !!
What do you think this song is about?
Ric Ocasek= one of THE best songwriters ever!
One big reason David came around for the reunion............money!!
Inappropriate comment..you don't know the man
I wonder how they got Dave back into the fold considering he basically retired and when they hinted with the new cars he said no thanks, maybe he came around or something but I'm not complaining this sounds like the bridge between candyo and panorama
blondie and the various other acts need to join as well so we can have a new new wave
they shouldve tried this reunion in the 90s at least too , i know Benjamin Orr wouldve been there
When I saw the album cover for the first time I thought the green background was weed, but just for a quick second
i wanna get the lyrics
gosh this is a song i havnt heard yet i like it these guys music geneus
I was 18 when they hit the airwaves I thought they bad ass then and still bad ass now the new album takes you back to the first albums.
And I was 8 when their Move Like This album released... New music these days is all Auto Tune crap, with no real emotion, real instruments, or real anything; it's all just crap put together by the same talentless two writers to make money.
At the time, I didn't even know who The Cars were... The only way I was even somewhat introduced to them at the time was by watching the Disney movie Cars 2, which had a cover of "You Might Think" by Weezer in it. But I really enjoyed that song, which eventually led to me discovering the band a couple years later, and the rest was history!
I love the Cars, and they have done it again!! I recently rediscovered Ric Ocasek's Fireball Zone CD...it is really cool. It is like the Cars with backup singers, and horns..
I was only born in the 80's And I just Like The Cars and I rly like their new CD makes me happy
Reminds me of Cruiser. Still good.
heard it in the theater too. when I googled it and it came back "the cars" I was thinking "nonono, it's a NEW song". what a surprise. and an awesome one at that. rock on indeed.
