Ric’s death hits harder than most for me than some of the others. Being from MA and hitting my teens in the 80’s, these guys were the soundtrack to my youth. Very underrated band...I can’t even begin to imagine a world without Ric Ocasek in it and I actually don’t want to...💔

I know Greg is an amazing musician but is there anything he can’t play? He could have been a professor at the University teaching music. Everyone in this band are more talented beyond anything, I am still being surprised every single time. I listen to this band since early 80’s.

The Cars' music is just as great all these years later, and it is refreshing to hear their style, delivery, and fun creativity. Enjoyed this video after listening to this great song over and over the past couple days. I don't remember seeing the video back in the day, and was surprised to read on Wikipedia that it was actually the 21st music video ever played on MTV. So sad about Ric Ocasek's death. He will be missed.

I'll never forget the first time I heard this # by the Cars. 1979 we just got of a hard day putting in A/C units on a commercial job. Walking into the Doll House South in Austin Texas around 3pm, kinda empty, dark, a main stage lit in red with the cutest little chick I ever seen, dancing to this song, stage named "Candy O".....memorized me.

One of the most talented and underrated groups in rock and roll. So happy they finally were given their due and were inducted in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. So sad that Ben wasn't around to see that happen though.

The progressive tension of the song, given by the constant changes of percussion and incremental chorus, are signs of a mature band that handle all the vocal and musical resources to make a fantastic song with a few instruments( notice that this cut doesn't includes keyboards; Greg plays guitar).

I remember in the summer of 1978, two new bands popped up on FM
radio, that didn't sound like anything I'd ever heard before. The Cars with
 "just what I needed", and Dire Straights with "Sultans of Swing."

Once again ELLIOT EASTON steps up to the plate and hits it out of the park with his brilliant lead playing. SO SO SO underrated as a player. This song ( along with many others on this same album) sparkle to the point of being almost magical. Brings me back to the summer of 1979 when I was 14. BLOODY EXCELLENT!!!!!

Wait, why hasn't there been a single: "I was born too late, I'm only 12, but this music is.....blah blah blah"....comment yet? EVERY 70's/80's video has that same requisite comment. Someone say it, now!
