I just watched the movie, Glitter and I see it's some great music in it. I hear it flopped in the box office, but the soundtrack definitely isn't. It's some great jammin grooves on it. This track is truly hot!!!!!

The ‘Glitter’ feature film and soundtrack were originally scheduled for simultaneous release on 9/11/01...however, the album’s release was postponed until 9/18 (probably due to the terrorist attacks that day in NYC, making the promotional debut on live national television scheduled for that morning impossible), while the film launched on the 11th. Therefore, the entire launch of the film and the soundtrack for ‘Glitter’ as a unified product lacked a timely sendoff from the media, and lost a great deal of promotional fanfare- which could never have saved the film- but could have led to the success of the album long after the film’s theater run was discontinued early due to abysmal reviews. It was 9/11. The country was devastated by the attacks on NYC and mourning the loss of thousands of innocent American citizens. Nobody was in the right mood for The Mariah Show, and unfortunately- one of her most dynamic and showcasing albums quickly faded into oblivion.

That being said...considering the thousands of innocent lives and loves that disintegrated on ‘Glitter’s original release date of 9/11...the lyrics of the album’s lead single ‘Never Too Far’ are hauntingly and heartbreakingly relevant.

Mariah sounds so sexy,...again! I doubt a guy could sit through the whole Glitter album (this, All My Life, Didn't Mean to Turn You On, Last Night a DJ Saved My Life", and not get an erection from her sexy singing/whispering!

I think I like her voice for sexiness more than for actual singing!
