Carcass - Livestock Marketplace Lyrics
The procreation, the damned
Carnal union of the flesh
Base primal instincts
This murderous passion
Coitus corporeal
The livestock herd
Baby, you know that you were born to lose.
Come immerse yourself in the slaughterhouse blues.
Heffers and steers are all there for you to choose.
Promiscuous sensuality for we are all whores & prostitutes
Life’s a celebration at the cattle market
The frigid and recycling death disco
Bestial passion at the cattle market
On the killing floor
Baby, you know that you were born to lose.
Come blood yourself in the slaughterhouse blues.
Heffers and steers are all there for you to choose.
Fiscal sexuality for we are all whores & prostitutes
Life’s a celebration at the cattle market
The frigid and recycling death disco
Bestial passion at the cattle market
Life is celebrated at their cattle market
The frigid and recycling death disco
Animal passion at the cattle market
A dance macabre on the killing…
Come, let your body fall through the sluice
The chilling arousal of the slaughterhouse blues
Choice fresh meet is processed, cured and bled
Life is a cabaret
Where your dancing partner is…
Dead
Life is celebrated at their cattle market
The frigid and recycling death disco
Bestial passion at the cattle market
Life’s a celebration at the cattle market
The frigid and recycling death disco
Animal passion at the cattle market
A dance macabre on the killing floor

This Carcass Rules
A different kind of vocal pattern than might be expected. I don't dislike it, I think it would be a grower for me.
Me recuerda a csi, grace anatomy y dr house
it"s sounds like if death metal, glam rock meet together
i want carcass to remove my stones of madness
U.a das melhores bandas de death metal se não for a melhor de todos os tempos
sounds like megadeth
Hail Carcass \\m//
The fine line between Carcass, Testament, Megadeth style ;)
A little slower paced.
Killer riff! Got a great groove to it.
death n roll . . . keep o rotting . . .
Riff that starts after 2:49 <3 IceCream, GODS Work
It sounds like Megadeth should sound nowadays.
la raja ctm
Can someone tell me what this is about ? I am really curious.
listen to da ibanez solos souund like 21st century blues
Sounds very groove oriented. I could picture this being off of Far Beyond Driven or Vulgar.
I think the same as everybody who comments this video, I though that Mustaine was singing this boring song!!!!
I love this band so much... If you don't have anything nice to say about them then go listen to your favorite band... FUCKERS!!!!

Esta canción me excita
an of the bests oldschool bands this vídeo is very good!!! hail Carcass I like a lot...
Hey guys, do you remember when you were able to blow us away with grindcore???? Necroticism was the zenith of your career....
for you all saying this sounds megadethish, tell me one song of them that this one sounds similar to
Very Death 'n' Roll... I <3 it!!
This is just awesome, different but great.
Dave Mustaine esta cantando?
I think that they need mike ammott on board again
hahahahaaha BRUTAL
Typical Nuclear Blast video.
your corporate really does suck
Cool tune. Kinda wish they threw Zochrot onto Surgical Steel though.
Too much analysis, folks. Some time try writing a song yourselves! Probably most of these critics don't play any musical instruments. They're just consumers.
Just like the people running to TacoBell right now... what's with these misplaced fuckin' ads??!!
very cool track and with a good musical production.
I think it's great that Carcass does stuff like this; It's good for what it is and deserves a release, but it would totally disrupt the flow of Surgical Steel. This band has never been a one trick pony. The best.

WTF How did this slip by me? I've rewatched all Surgical Steel videos dozens of times..
The song has a lot of ' Swansong' in it. I can see why it didn't make it on Surgical Steel. Not bad but no Surgical Steel material. It's a good B-side though.
The song is abit obvious and predictable. should have ended at verse 1
I take it that this did not make it onto Surgical Steel?
+Daniel Baber Nope. Went on the subsequent EP... thankfully.
+Dolorosakil I didn't know there was a subsequent EP. Cool.
Seems there's a full version on soundcloud now.
Carcass: dissapointing "trves" since '93.
+tonykratos nah
This sounds like if Cattle Decapitation were asked to write a Megadeth song.
+SuperVideoman12 or simply sounds like carcass....
+SuperVideoman12 I don't think it sounds like CD, Megadeth or Carcass tbh. Just sounds poor...
what a cattle..urban legends carcass. dont mix it
Whatever you wanna call it.. it is awesome.
Love .... J'adore....
The song is cool. More like Swansong (and actual music) as opposed to meaningless blastbeating away and blend guitar riffs.
@Yan Doroshenko For me, it still needs some technicality in it, or it is just incredibly boring. Jeff when I saw them live recently even joked about Swansong being an album for "gay men". I'm pretty sure they think it's shit themselves. Some of Carcass' songs show their technical ability, some do this and I don't like them, I agree. But some songs find a blend of both. Swansong for me, and this song, was just incredibly repetitive and boring. To say this is more "real music" over "pointless blastbeats" is just absurd. They aren't deathcore.
@Krassz Sure, you're right - it is repetative and simple. But AC/DC is repetative and simple too. Sometimes you need something like that just for variety. But pointless blastbeats are even more repetative - most of death metal bands just play smth like 00000000 in 32nds and call it music. In my opinion, it's not. But you are right, Swansong and this song are simple, repetative and can be boring after some time of listening to.
@Yan Doroshenko When do carcass do 0 32nds and call it music?
@Krassz I did not say that Carcass did it (however, Heartwork is quite close to it, as for me).
+Krassz I find that writing hooks is harder than writing super technical stuff. I like technical music if its done well but bands who are technical for the sake of it are not always talented. usually people who say simple music sucks are the same who say anything non metal sucks and takes no talent. Metal is my favorite music but its not the most talented music. Jazz players for example are usually more talented than metal players. Jazz dudes have to solo over chords that require different scales over each chord, most of the time in rock or metal you solo in a key and choose a mode or two to work in. As much as I am sick of Enter Sandman it is a fine example of good songwriting using simple riffs. The whole song is a variation of one riff. Sometimes they only use part of the riff and other times they will change the key of the riff. The intro builds and builds tension rhythmically until it finally resolves into the main theme. It utilizes dynamics very effectively. You never feel like your listening to one recycled riff throughout the whole song. That is hard to do as a songwriter and its a good example of getting a lot for a little.
sounds like shit. they should consider going back to goregrind and real death metal.
And you use cartoon bee as avatar so what's your point?
@Chen Ling
It's better than your gay ass profile pic.
@TheSmashingTesticles Owl is gay lol You are wrong in biological aspect
+Chen Ling (Lenta) He's a bad troll, don't even try to argue with this fucker.
+tonykratos He's not even qualified to be a troll. I've seen better ones
Their fucking best!
Surgical steel is killer, but this is worse than anything on swan song.
undisputed heavy weights....all others are poor imitations, unfit for human consumption
This reminds me of Megadeth.
fuck yeah, steer's pushing that melody again
killer track, even if it isn't a neck breaker
I think when hearing this that swansong wasn't a mistake. They should do more of this on albums seriously its good and I really like swansong but I like a lot of the more rugged shit make it more balenced or have a heavy cd and a light cd ready to follow.
why carcass why??
I guess some of the carcass fans have never heard Wake Up and Smell The Carcass Lp. There's tunes like this one there (slow, melodic and almost radio friendly). Bill Steer founded Firebird (a blues trio) after the band breakdown just after Swansong. Jeff even recorded a Cuntry (as he called) Lp. So as you can see they are versatile musicians that experiment here and there once in a while. Just be grateful that the reunite and put a hell of a record 20 years after they broke the group!!
WHAT SHIT IS THIS>?
I am or was in my youth a Carcass fanatic but this is just boring sorry but not impressive at all very dissapointing
After not liking this the first few times I heard it because it wasn't melodeath, I started wanting to listen to it for what it was, and ended up enjoying it. Just set aside your expectations.
Megadeth anyone??
Damn what a song. The new album is insane, nowadays most bands suck with their new albums but Carcass still has the same vibe as back in the day! Livestock Marketplace is one of my favorites from their new EP.
great Metal!!\m/
I'm thinking more Alice Cooper than Dave Mustaine. If Alice Cooper did the vocals on this track, this would get played out the ass on the radio no doubt.
still the best Rot 'N' Roll! Though sounds like they've been listening to a bit too much early 90's Megadave.
I AGREE James...
CARCASSSSS RULES FOR LONG TIME...
sounds like megadeth
Sounds like a heavy crossbreed between Swansong and Blackstar. With better overall production, of course..
I am one of those who like the song. Very.
I've been waiting so long to hear this song.. Now that I've heard it, I'm pleasantly surprised.
What
The
Fuck
I like it,sure it's not the best but definitely not horrible.
The difference between Carcass fans now and those from 21 years ago is that today, they are WAY too easy to please. It has nothing to do with the band's so-called musical progress, or their transition from grind to "melodeath". It has to do with the fact that hey aren't even TRYING here.
Totally agree.
really wrong
Well they knew it was not right for the main album that's why they released on this
I'm glad they left this off surgical steel
Sorry, this is awful.
To those of you saying carcass isn't doing grind anymore, I'd say- read the rewievs. This song is a part of an EP of loose ends according to Bill Steer. If this means an end to carcass' grindcore so be it. But if you have heard the surgical steel album you might get an other impression. Carcass has a tendensy of doing a wide spectre of diffrerent styles of music and has done that since 1991. The musical direcions aren't set. That is for sure. This is not the first time they have confused their fans, me being one of them, but one thing is for sure- If it is going to be an anthoer album it's most likely to be something else. Their history says that. and at last- pardon my bad english
I like it
This is great !! The puzzle is now complete !!
I accept another Swansong... do it fast and take my money!
Yeahhhhh!!!
muy bello
i dont mind this sound if they go to this kind of sound on the next album.
cool song, really liked it!
"buhh... bad song, carcass sucks"
What the hell is wrong with you guys? This song is awesome
CANT AGREE MORE
@Toxic Potato
Ignore all the edgy hipsters, their opinions are meaningless.
@Toxic Potato First time I listened to this it was a bit disappointing, but I liked it more over time.
Edgy Zapatista yes this is one of the bad tracks unfortunately. it was a good album tho
Late on this reply but I have to agree this is a boring dull song.
Guys, what the fuck is wrong with all of you? This is like a groovy ballad, that you can sing along with. This shit is going to be insane live.
I hear "ROCK CANDY" By Montrose in this track....
Megadeth's thrash?
Death and roll, damn.. here we go again,...
For fuck's sake, stop making new music that sucks. STOP.
Surgical Steel was a fantastic album. This may not be the best Carcass song but it's still good.
Sounds like a mixture of swansong and surgical steel
Carcass is awesome, but this song isn't that great. Oh well, every band has gotta have at least ONE bad song, right?
horrible song, sounds like Black Star (band)
Death 'n' Roll for 2014!
This music is fucking awesome, brought me back to the Swansong era (my fav Carcass album!). I can hardly wait for the new EP! (I will buy it for sure!)
yeah! beeatch
Bad as fuck.
I guess there is a reason they didn't put this one on the Surgical Steel album. ;-) First of all, I liked Swansong when it came out and I still do. I actually like it better than, say the chaotic first record ("Reek of..."). The music on this track is actually cool, but the vocals suck monster floppy donkey dick. Like a weird, hungover Alice Cooper and Dave Mustaine lovechild with a cold. Esp. these attempts at "clean" singing sound like shit. Scratch one off the list. Ain't buyin this cd.
Nah ... nothing against other genres but i miss carcass grindcore ....
It's like a bastard child of Carcass' Swansong and Megadeth's Super Collider.
Bland.
This really sucks! i need more grind.
