And Wyclef may have supplied some bad beats, but yes he did have a major hand in Canibus even being in the position to release a commercial record in the mainstream in the first place. Canibus needed to show more respect for that. Also, Wyclef said that Canibus was actually okaying those beats, too, so he didn't understand why Canibus was lashing out later. Canibus is known for that kind of thing though.

The record didn't "flop", it went gold. How much better can a battle rhymer who wasn't making mass appeal songs do? Gold was a huge victory for that rhyme style he was bringing at the time.
