My husband asked me to marry him after this concert in 1993 and he even waited for me outside after I went back stage for a meet and greet the band with my 2 adult nieces. Great memory. I saw Candlebox 4 times in concert in the 90’s.

Why was this not released as a single in 93? May be due to Far Behind becoming a monster ballad hit. Each song is superb with this album. .Second album good,tho not the greatness of this.Also it's aging well

For me it took on a new meaning. Once my husband passed away. He would sing this to me all the time, I never figured out the actual meaning, but to me it was his way of telling me to keep growing and "blossoming every day" as he watches me from heaven. But he always, always emphasized the part about "See I'll show you things never seen before for your mind to untangle on your own now, all alone" This to me meant to take the life lessons he showed me and put them to good use and of course that is why I am "on my own". His death was pretty sudden, it is as though he had premonitions of the impending doom. I have to listen to this several times a week, it gives me strength to "blossom" and "learn from him" to this day. I guess what I am trying to say is that every song has a special meaning to each individual that's why music means so much to those of us who indulge in it........My two cents.....R

@Michael Rodrigues awe sorry you feel that way. sone people have moments in there life where something really affects them or they reflect on life and express themselves. maybe its just intelect. everyone is different. i could say expressing yourself in less than ten words could be a lack of substance or simply brilliant or I could say expressing oneself writing a book about it is boring or brilliant. its a matter of taste babydoll. I personally have always enjoyed a little taste of everything!!

A dude that I grew up with was friends with Peter Klett. Candlebox came to Merriweather Post Pavilion in Columbia, MD & Peter hooked us up with back stage passes (Gary Z. was Peter's friend, so he can confirm if he sees this :-) ) We went back to The Columbia Inn, now a Sheraton, after the concert & the band had an after party. it was a good time & I'm glad I got to experience the day. Candlebox as a band was not only influencial, but really f...ing cool. Love the Grunge Days!!!!
