Who mixed this? It's very muddy. Glen's 1960's records were recorded/mixed better. I have this CD, and it's no better. Sounds like a dub of a dub of a cassette tape. Dynamic compression is overdone as well as sounding vaguely overloaded. Such a great performance but harmed by poor engineering. If this could be remixed someday... it would be a gift to music lovers.

Thank you. I say this about a lot of new-ish music. The old songs in the 60's were clearer vocals than vocal recordings today.

This album rehabilitated him as a great singer and artist after a long battle with alcoholism and drug abuse. Even though there are only cover versions on it, it's one of Glens most personal albums in his legendary career.

An excellent version of this song by Glen Campbell - and now a fitting song to remember him by. RIP Glen Campbell.

I have never listened to much country, and I've absolutely never listened to Glen Campbell before, but I know the name well. When I heard from Fran Healy, the lead singer of Travis, that Glen had covered this song I was curious to hear it. I'm blown away by how true he stayed to the original song and absolutely impressed by how seamless and well-done this is. So impressed, I have shared this with friends and family to listen to!

I got to see Glen perform in Pittsburgh on May 20, 2012. Even with Alzheimer's he rarely forgot any words. His guitar playing was great too! There are videos of that show (Byham Theater} on YouTube. One of the last musical greats of the twentieth century!

Absolutely superbx2, here's a guy going almost 80 years old old with Alzheimers and he just wrapped up his last concert tour in 2012, wish I could have seen him, One of my top fav artists.
