In my own humble opinion the only thing Prince Eddie Kendricks Phillip Bailey Smokey Robinson and any other falsetto singers had on Mr Wayne Cooper was notoriety he was at least as good as any of them he just didn't have the big name because he was only a part off CAMEO for two years I remember hearing he was supposed to be going solo and Larry Blackmon was supposed to produce him but for some reason it didn't come to pass unfortunately

Wayne Cooper falsetto sounds like a natural the best i have ever heard i love the other guys Prince Phillip Bailey The Debarges and all the singing groups of 70's but Wayne had a voice that people thought was a woman strong and much vibrato if he would have not gotten ill the world have known him better.

The Ohio Players had a unique arsenal of intellectual talented firepower, in which who set the tone for CameO, do check out the Ohio Players you will see that 90% of CameO’s flow are somewhat similar or the same. That’s the reason CameO changed the group original name from being the New York City Players to CameO. Not taking anything away from CameO they’re AWESOME!! MY favorite group!! But again, I was stunned by the Ohio Players flow after pulling up all their music, I was like WHOA!!!! Check it out for yourself…

Wrong !!! Granted his high octaves lent credibility to all vocal talents of the group, however, the group carried on in Wayne's absence, and that is accredited to Larry Blackmon, Bassist Aaron Mills, and that 3rd fella' who replaced Wayne on vocals

This is my Favorite Cameo Slow song. I could not find this song or album for years. Nowhere... Finally on Itunes. I'm from DC, but my buddies from Chicago and Philly have never heard this song..but was shocked and just listened quietly and said "damn, where did this come from". Amazing it doesn't get played in rotation of Cameo ole skool hits like "Sparkle".. somehow I don't think it got played that much in certain markets when it was released..

Wayne was an incredible falsetto. A falsetto singer who never get's talked about though is Cortez Harris from One Way. He sang lead on Cutie Pie, Lady You Are, and Something in The Past. He get's forgotten about because people think Al Hudson did all the leads but Cortez and another great falsetto Kevin McCord did the falsetto leads for One Way. He wasn't as dyanamic as Wayne but he was near that class and that range too!

We cant forgot Tony Washington from the Dynamic Superiors, and Russell Thompson Jr from the Stylistics

The credits say it was Larry and Anthony but Tomi said up above he likes listening to his buddy Wayne so I guess Wayne is on here. It sounds like Wayne not Anthony, Wayne gets no credit for singing on Why Have I lost you so it wouldn't be the first time...

Wayne, Wayne, Wayne Cooper, too amazing!.  Philip Bailey, Eddie Kendricks, Bobby Debarge and countless others are amazing falsettos but Wayne Cooper has the richest, strongest falsetto. It has a lot of beautiful tones to it. The vibrato is second to none.

As Russel Thompkins has the clearest voice I say Wayne had the strongest falsetto but there are many that don't get alotta mention. Anthony Lockett sang on I'll Always Stay he did a great job he sings on this also...
