Camel - Slow Yourself Down Lyrics
They tell me you're searching for a new place,
They tell me tomorrow will have a true face.
They say that I don't understand,
When you speak of your summertime land
Just slow yourself down, I'm coming along.
They tell me your past often hurt you,
And even your friends, they would desert you.
But now you are beginning to see,
The same things have happened to me
Just slow yourself down, I'm coming along.
You tell me your dreams have been broken,
And not enough words have been spoken.
The time has come to see it through.
Slow down 'coz I'm coming with you

Camel Slow Yourself Down Comments
This is an anazing track from a really great debut album. Still one of my most played albums 40 plus years on.
Where were these guys all throughout my early listening years ?
Great Virtuose Musicians!
2:47 Is really epic
Best tune from Camel and one of the coolest and most dancing sounds from the whole Prog scene. For me these hoarse guitar and hammond together make one of my favorite solos of rock at all!! Since I discovered this tune (happy day!), I think I've never missed a week without listening to it. Bless you, Camelinho. Love you

@aboo3413 haha! yup
Where do we go so wrong as to lose our innate ability to simply be one with everything? Humans have this tendency to grow up and divide things into groups and endlessly rank them.. when there is no real need for it. Just relax and enjoy yourself! Jeez..
Just recently discovered Camel . . . great song . . . :-)
Camel, one of the best progressive rock bands, along with Pink Floyd and Emerson Lake & Palmer
WTF!? 1973....
Dude best shit came out of the early 70's !
@Mathieu Leduc And mid/late 60s
The beginning of this song definitely sounds like the Doors. God I love Camel! Moonmadness is another one of their GREAT albums
best opener for the best debut album I have heard from a band....
