Calum Scott - Dancing On My Own (Tiësto Remix) Lyrics
Somebody said you got a new friend
Does she love you better than I can?
And It's a big black sky over my town
I know where you at, I bet she's around
I'm in the corner, watching you kiss her, oh
And I'm right over here, why can't you see me? Oh
I'm giving it my all
I'm not the guy you're taking home, ooh
I keep dancing on my own
I just wanna dance all night
And I'm all messed up, I'm so out of line
Stilettos on broken bottles
I'm spinning around in circles
I'm sat in the corner, watching you kiss her, ohh
I'm right over here, why can't you see me, ohh
And I'm giving it my all
But I'm not the guy you're taking home, ooo
And I keep dancing on my own
So far away but still so near
The lights go on, the music dies
But you don't see me standing here
I just came to say goodbye
I'm in the corner, watching you kiss her, ohh
And I'm giving it my all
But I'm not the guy you're taking home, ooo
And I keep dancing on my own
Sat down in the corner, why do you kiss her?
And I'm right over here why don't you see me?
And I'm giving it my all
But I'm not the guy you're taking home, ooo
And I keep dancing on my own
So far away but still so near
The lights go on, the music dies
But you don't see me standing here
I just came to say goodbye

Who is the woman?
Haley Fitzgerald
This doesn't get old. I love it so much, years later, and I'm still listening to it like it's the first time. It's awesome to drive to and yell it out at the top of your lungs.
Its not even his song..he covered it man talk about taking credit for someone elses work.
And this version is shittier than his awful cover. All respects to Robyn.
Maravilha, sensacional 😎😎
de mis coreografias favoritas !! buena foto y video
I love you music <3 Bro sweet!!!
Love it,, this song is a classic
Using camera it was incredible really wow.
alot to take in . Loved it ... There were just a few moments where I felt the story telling went away in lieu of choreographics. Moments where adjusting or changing just a few moves in between the brilliant movement & floor gestures might have kept the lyric more in line w/ the visual. As is demonstrated @ intervals but particularly in the end of the piece. Bravo💕👏👏👏👏👏👏🎶😍❤😁🎉🤳PS im not much of a dancer ... BUT I'm told im pretty good at stories 😜
Bouncing Boobs
génial, en voila deux qui s'avent danser.
Gooooooose bumps!!! Sooo dayam gooood!
Excellent dancing and beautiful choreography working exceptionally well together. This version is amazing. Thank you.
Calum, I have been following since you first stepped out on to the stage. Incredible! You sing from your heart.
Somebody said you got a new friend
Does she love you better than I can?
And It's a big black sky over my town
I know where you at, I bet she's around
Yeah, I know it's stupid, I just gotta see it for myself
I'm in the corner, watching you kiss her, oh, oh, oh
And I'm right over here, why can't you see me? Oh, oh, oh
I'm giving it my all
I'm not the guy you're taking home, ooh
I keep dancing on my own
I just wanna dance all night
And I'm all messed up, I'm so out of line, yeah
Stilettos on broken bottles
I'm spinning around in circles
And I'm in the corner, watching you kiss her, oh-oh-oh
And I'm right over here, why can't you see me, oh-oh-oh
And I'm giving it my all
But I'm not the guy you're taking home, oh-oh-oh
And I keep dancing on my own, no, nah
So far away but still so near
The lights go on, the music dies
But you don't see me standing here
I just came to say goodbye
I'm in the corner, watching you kiss her, oh-oh-oh
And I'm giving it my all
But I'm not the guy you're taking home, oh-oh-oh
And I keep dancing on my own, oh, nah
Sat down in the corner, why do you kiss her? Oh no
And I'm right over here why can't you see me? Oh no
And I'm giving it my all
But I'm not the guy you're taking home, oh-oh-oh
I keep dancing on my own
So far away but still so near
The lights go on, the music dies
But you don't see me standing here
the cameraman is great, the Performance as well, but the choerographie is bullshit.
Beautiful song and voice as an acapella, however, as always Tiesto does an amazing remix! The dancers are also meticulously wicked!
the camera man is on a hoverboard
Que pases una Navidad mágica con tu mujer
Who is the choreographer?!? There is so much meaning in the dancing, its hard to know where to begin. Its almost a dream from the guys point of view... seeing his whole relationship with her in just a moment.
It starts with desire and a determination; sitting at the table. He does grows the courage to start a relationship and does what he can to impress her but almost immediately realizes the hypnotic control she has over him... moving only at her pace.
She then plays, "hard to get" and both are appropriately engaged in the "chase". He succeeds in his endeavor and, for a time, they are completely synced in their relationship. But mild contention arises and a period of "give and take" comes into the picture; each forgiving minor mistakes and offences.
Beginning at 1:03, they firmly supported each-other (marriage?). The literal aspect of the connection is greater at 1:03 than when the change occurs at about 1:07 (signifying something serious to the connection (or marriage) occurred). The support at 1:03 is significant, both physically as well as psychologically. It is one of the most stable way to support someone physically and was (in the 1500's or so) an expression of love and trust (primarily between men, but is a good use in this choreography). Then, something happened at 1:07 that changed the connection and the firm support they had eventually broke.
Despair, heartache, pain... the loss of someone loved overcomes the guy. For a time, they "pretend" to be in a relationship (symbolized by "dancing" with fingers instead of the whole body)... pretending to "fake it till you make it". Faking it didn't work... anger and blame is thrown back and forth until communication becomes silence (1:38)...
She then throws off the relationship, but he chases after her in desperation to make it right, but no matter what he does, she avoids and rejects him. He gives up and "bails" over the rail (i.e. "off the rails") at 1:52 and is overcome with the memory he has of her... realizing that he would even be willing to "serve" her at her feet if only he could still have some small part in her life. Finally reality sets in... depression and grief ensue... self abuse results... suicide an option.
Just when all hope seemed lost, a hint of light shines upon him (2:14). She comes to him with a stern contingency of sorts, they begin the relationship again, but slowly (at 2:20)... She asserts her position and contingency to him (2:24) as a choice and he is expected to commit himself fully to her if he truly wants their relationship (marriage?) to last.
(2:30 to 2:36) Apprehension on both sides as to how the relationship might turn out?
(2:36 until end)... complete unity in the relationship... never to be broken again... even to the point of "mirroring" each-other and eventually coming to know each-other so well, they can even anticipate what the other is thinking and going to do...
Then, he comes out of his dream...
It was in a single moment, he saw his entire relationship with her...
His desire, his passion, his success, his frustration, his failure, his loss, his pain... but in the end, it was all worth struggling through and it was all worth fighting for... his heart truly belonged to her.
...then again, it could all just be a great song and dance... what do I know? I'm just another
One of the most beautiful pieces of art I've ever seen. Compilation between Robyn's creativity, Calum"s talent, Dancer's precision, Choreographer's vision... this is truly an underrated masterpiece!
