Caldwell, Bobby - Jamaica Lyrics
When the world gets too much to carry
And when life becomes too bizarre
And my friends seem ordinary
As compared to the lost and far
Have a drink inside my favorite bar
So if you leave me, that’s a pity
Maybe I’m better of by far
Oh, Jamaica, hold me
Come let your arms and hold me forever and ever
Someone told me love grows here in Jamaica
Leaving you how could I ever
As I ran for the ocean ferry
And now my life
As the stars fill the evening sky
Oh
Ohohohoho
Oh, Jamaica, hold me
Come let your arms and hold me forever and ever
Someone told me love grows here in Jamaica
Leaving you how could I ever
Oh, Jamaica, hold me
Come let your arms and hold me forever and ever
Someone told me love grows here in Jamaica
Leaving you how could I ever
Oh, Jamaica, hold me
Come let your arms and hold me forever and ever
Someone told me love grows here in Jamaica
Leaving you how could I ever

Caldwell, Bobby Jamaica Comments
Prachtige stem.
From the first note of the piano I thought of Stevie Wonder. The way he sings some of the song also. I would not be surprised if he and Stevie collaborated on this song.
Ik zeg Soulshow Ferry Maat
下手でも好きだからカラオケ頑張ってみよう!歌い始めて直ぐに断念。OTZ
Imagine Stevie Wonder doing this as a cover.
Cassiopeia Wilson not hard to imagine... he has that nasally Stevie Wonder sound in certain parts of the song.
Love this guy!
Smooth song! I love the sound of the ocean ferry at 1:40...
This is a beautiful song.
would you believe this I heard this track on the john sachs late night show on capital radio in 1981, what a fantastic tune it is, do you know that john sachs is the son of the late Andrew sachs, who played manuel in fawlty towers, true story
did not know that about john sachs.
i miss those good ol' days of capital radio...
yes believe it or not, capital radio had middle aged disc jockeys, like greg Edwards, mike allen, john sachs, seasoned djs, who knew a thing about soul music, and played it on there shows
yeah...but then they got replaced by the likes of Margeurite Taylor. :-/
that's when i stopped listening...
i love this song
schitterende song
