Idk man...i don't think I'd say Bobby is soul...he has soul for sure...and there is some influence there...but full on Blue Eyes Soul? It's a question that's been weighing on me...like I don't think I'd call Michael McDonald soul either tho....i think it boils down to the fact that true soul is rooted in Gospel...but this is soul that's lost is Gosel roots completely....coming from white people...i think they are just Adult Contemporary or Jazz or 2nd wave R&B....its hard to put a finger on....id say that's why Bobby never really did blow up very much passed Cat in the Hat....although his music is amazing

years ago saw Bobby in concert down at a five points barroom in Denver Colorado and his show was groovy cool and did a lot of Frank Sinatra and was with my then wife Judy who divorced me and took me for everything after 25 years married so its a bit of a sad memory😰
